Jesus Fucking Christ. Based on this ruling, a US military officer can refuse orders, and even deceive higher-ups about whether those orders have been followed, as long as they're following a "mission from God".

This country be fucked.
The courts are now directing foreign policy with Mexico and deployment orders for members of the military.

All the more reason to expand all the courts. Someone needs to put the judicial branch in its place as it is usurping the powers of both the executive and the legislature.

Why should they coordinate with Joint Chiefs or even do it themselves - just let their underlings control our military:

If you don't want to follow orders just find a conservative judge to overturn them.

and of course Thomas that senile old fuck would dissent

So now we can have a military full of man children who will argue anything they disagree with. This is the literal antithesis of Army structure and will have lasting damage if done. Remember in the Gulf War with Iraq in the early 90's and how soldiers had to get shot before being deployed and people were concerned there was not enough testing but the Army won that issue, now not so much.

Funny how the guys who complain about our military being 'woke' and therefore not ready for battle are the same ones who are perfectly fine with soldiers and sailors refusing orders to take a vaccine that directly impacts their readiness for operations.
