Is there a working method as of today (Nov 12, 2022)? I have tried disconnecting from the Internet during the setup but I can't seem to move past the account setup screen.

I would encourage you, if you are able to successfully install Win11 without too much difficulty that you save the downloaded ISO you use somewhere.

Microsoft is only going to get worse from here, and as others have stated it is easier to do the initial install from a known ISO and then upgrade to the latest version.
Thank you. I actually have an older Windows version of 11 Home on a disk and downloaded, but I'm grabbing the latest right now also.

In case you don't have much experience installing Win11 on a modern laptop, there is a chance that you won't have a functioning touchpad during setup. If this upsets you, then you ought to have a mouse handy.
