So, I have the latest build (15025) installed. As far as I can tell, all cool. EXCEPT....

I used to boot to desktop in <10sec. Now, it takes closer to 30 sec. it feels like the boot 'hangs' at POST just before the dots start spinning.

This is a UEFI boot. I read somewhere that MS doctored with their UEFI compat - did they break it for me?

Well 15042 is out and the watermark is gone. Looks like the release date is close.

If the "Pundits" predictions are correct it should be out in the Next few Weeks.

I'm running 15042 on one rig. Didn't notice much different, although there are still some significant bugs.

I was able to get 15048 off of the Microsoft Insider Preview website, but nothing newer, no 15060. Sure you got that right?

Build 15063 was released in the last 24 hours. The following is taken from the Windows feedback hub ; Known issues for PC. This is being posted on 3/21

  • The upgrade path from the Windows 10 Anniversary Update (Build 14393) to this Windows 10 Creators Update build is not yet live and will be live tomorrow morning.
Will tomorrow be the release date? Stay tuned.

I apologise if this has been covered, but I just saw a tweet from Paul Thurrott that he did a clean install of the Creator's update and was able to activate it with an unused Windows 7 key. So apparently that mechanism is still in place.

Dell pushed the Creators Edition to my Dell XPS8700 and upon restart it failed. It failed to boot but showed a BSOD recovery options. The only one that worked was a full system reset. Upon reset it now shows Version 1703 / Build 15063.413. It did not restore any of my apps / Firefox / links / passwords.

I've asked this before, but nobody has replied. So I'd like to ask here.

I've been on 1607 (Anniversary Update) until today when I finally received a message via update center that I can now update and move on to ver. 1703 (Creators Update).

Anyway, after it was finished installing I noticed something. Right before installing 1703, I had 46.4 GB free of 190 GB on C disk and 137 GB free of 273 GB on D disk. After updating it was 39.3 GB on C and 166 GB on D. I then had to restart my laptop - Bitdefender wouldn't launch - so after restarting my laptop I noticed that it shows 137 GB once again on disk D. However, disk C now shows 39.1 GB.

Where did those 7.3 GB go?

It's storing your previous Windows install in case there was a problem with the update. You can use disk cleanup to get the space back.
