I agree. A protein shake (calculated into your daily caloric requirements) won't hurt. Eating a good meal is also a very good choice.

There is no minimal in weight lifting. Toning is the result of hardship and training on your body. Tone is a concept that is created through hardwork. Don't introduce "minimal" into your concept because it's not going to work like that.
