In a swing back to the 50's, some, including current congress members are calling for a list of trump supporters to be made so that they may be denied economic opportunities.

when do we start our list? does it get a sticky? do we deny them coolcoin?

or is it kept in the mods corner of old's basement?

Oh gee. I guess freedom of association, private property rights and economic freedom only count of they work in your favor, right?

It's a boycott. Should have started years ago against anyone who enabled him or financed him.

It is not an official government blocklist. It is a PRIVATE boycott. You cannot stop a private boycott without limiting FREEDOM.

Here is a link to the PRIVATE BOYCOTT.

We must never forget those who furthered the Trump agenda.
We should welcome in our fellow Americans with whom we differ politically.

But those who took a paycheck from the Trump Administration should not profit from their efforts to tear our democracy apart. The world should never forget those who, when faced with a decision, chose to put their money, their time, and their reputations behind separating children from their families, encouraging racism and anti-Semitism, and negligently causing the unnecessary loss of life and economic devastation from our country's failed response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We should not allow the following groups of people to profit from their experience:

Those who elected him.
Individuals who worked for the Trump for President campaign, Republican National Committee, and affiliated PACs in 2016 or 2020.

Those who staffed his government.
Individuals who worked in any role as a political appointee in the Trump Administration.

Those who funded him.
Individuals who used their massive personal wealth and influence to bundle money for Trump.

Remember when liberals stop supporting businesses that oppose their views it’s “cancel culture”. When conservatives do the same thing it’s free speech and ok.

So how does this compare to Trump and his supporters calling Democrats traitors and demanding that they be treated as such? When does Trump send out his list of traitors for his 'patriots' to round up and execute? It'll be easy because Democrats don't own guns, right?

Yes, the 'get over it, you lost, quit trying to overturn the results of an election, fuck your feelings' crowd won't get over it, is demanding to overturn the results of an election, and going through a lot of feels right now.
Their hypocrisy knows no bounds. What they can't seem to get is that that's the real reason why they lost. Because the entirety of Trumpism is about having 2 sets of rules and laws in this country, one set where Trumpers can openly brag about wanting to execute 'leftist traitors,' and that's 'free speech,' and another set where 'leftist traitors' aren't even allowed to choose which businesses they patronize, because such 'leftist cancel culture' might economically impact those business owners who brag about wanting to murder 'leftist traitors.'

will you add your neighbor with a trump sign to the list if you get a chance? I am surprised there is not a self reporting feature on the site to add names/address etc.

yes, a boycott is free speech.

my crew and I have directly been threatened with murder for the industry we work in.

hold up... you want the government to force businesses to service all customers that fit in some government category, but
a boycott is free speech?

can a business refuse service to a maga hat?

so many rules!

I like getting you guys all worked up once in a while, see those veins really POP!

I am totally in the " trump lost, get over it" camp. as you know, I did not vote for either of them. #voteliberty

I just don't want you guys to crash out after 4 years of rage posting. 😎

Strawman noted, and dismissed.

Let's practice reading comprehension, shall we? Please let us know which part of this paragraph explicitly excludes including neighbors with Trump signs?

If you're unable to tell, let us know and we'll walk you through it.

What about those who quit and blew the whistle on Trump?

Of course they would be excluded. In fact, I would think they'd be joining this boycott.

Just common sense.

Unless, of course, they did so AFTER being charged or convicted. Then, yeah, I guess that's a grey area.

I don’t think this is necessary. Democrats should continue to campaign on policies though. We need democrats to take super majorities in congress and start passing catch up legislation that moves this country forward. I’m tired of living in a country that doesn’t lead in anything except obesity and other negative stats. We can do better and we deserve better.

The problem is, the main enablers and financers of Trump happen to also be among the main enablers and financers of the literal batshit misinformation machine that controls the GOP cult now.

This country will NOT progress as long as that batshit is well funded and has limitless platforms.

If you want a business to be able to refuse service to a gay couple, then you also want that business to be able to refuse service to a MAGA. This shouldn't be difficult to understand, but for some reason it is.
And that reason is because some people mistakenly believe that their love of their own liberty and freedom somehow makes them special or 'patriots,' even as they see any exercise of other's liberty and freedom as a threat to their own. What they don't understand is that there is nothing special or even particularly patriotic about loving and fighting for one's own freedom. Because, believe it or not, everyone loves their own freedom. Especially authoritarians and dictators. Real lovers of liberty love everyone's liberty and freedom, and fight for everyone's liberty and freedom, and not just their own, and do not without reasonable cause see the exercise of others' liberty as an infringement of their own.

But please don't let me continue to interrupt your dishonest rage post about how private citizens exercising their free speech rights to boycott certain business is somehow an infringement of your own rights, or some kind of govt conspiracy against you.

Bitch; every friend, family member, neighbor, co-worker and any other person anywhere who openly supported Trump was added to my list the second I became aware of it. What does that mean? Absolutely nothing except that I and everyone else who did the same will never forget that they were abject morons. We will never forget. They will never dig out of that hole for the rest of their lives, not that they give a shit anyway.
