I do it too, but take the food to my car...find an empty parking lot...and eat alone.

For weekend lunches I routinely eat/ate alone to try out new places. Now dinner's a bit different...

Having a companion is nice, sometimes but not always. I eat alone all the time and never been looked at funny or anything. I'm comfortable enough with myself I don't need to be surrounded by people. Actually too comfortable that having people eat with me is a rare rare occasion. I prefer peace and quiet. People think what they think of me, I could care less.

I don't think any less of anybody else, whether they're in a group or by themselves.

Yeah there is a big difference between lunch and dinner. I'm not gonna go out for a nice dinner alone. But I don't mind eating alone.

I would never eat out alone.

Whenever I see someone at a restaurant eating by themself, or at a theatre watching a movie by themself, I feel really bad for them.

all the time. Food is food. Sometimes there is no one around, and no food in the fridge, so you go and grab something to eat...what's wrong with that?

Alone, or with agroup, no difference to me. I have absolutley no reservation about who(with), where or when I eat.

i used to think it was wierd, now that i've done it, i think it's nice.. it's relaxing.. no pressure to keep up conversation.. just me and my book.. so i prefer it over eating with others? no.. but it is definately a change of pace.. go try it.. it's scary at first, but bring a paper or a book and you'll be fine

I really have a hard time understanding all you "I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT BE ALONE" People......you dont have to be WITH someone 24/7.....It is really not that big a deal. You are eating....EAT, you dont HAVE to be talking to somebody. Sure its NICE to have someone to talk to but it's not crucial to eating. Just bite the bullet and go eat. Buy a paper or something to do...or just people-wtach. Seriously though...its not that big a deal
