Yeah, I can see that. But don't you vote for things like school levies and other local issues? Those are the things I care most about I guess.
I'd give it up for some cold hard cash in my bank account.

Damn there's a lot of non voters in here. I'm surprised honestly.
Instead of a parrot avatar, your's should be an extinct bird.People already give up their votes without any incentive. Why should we waste more of my tax dollars for this?
For the record I'm a young conservative in CA and I always vote.
Seriously. So is my wife, HA!Instead of a parrot avatar, your's should be an extinct bird.![]()
Sorta. In midterms, yes, the majority does not even vote. But in presidential elections the majority of eligible voters do vote. Most people don't vote anyways, now you want to reward them for it?
Sure, give me the money and you can do what you want.
Sure, go ahead and take the $1000. Then 2 weeks later, the people who paid you the $1000 can raise your taxes by $1001.

I'm honestly surprised that so many people do vote. The choice is between a guy who claims to be looking out for the rich, but is only looking out for himself and a guy who claims to be looking out for the poor, but is only looking out for himself. Or you can vote for a 3rd party who claims he's not part of the establishment and wants to take care of real people, but is only looking out for himself.
Show me a person worth voting for and I'll vote. Toss up the same collection of whores who will say whatever the people funding their campaign wants them to say and I'll keep staying home.
Why Colbert? I believe this statement 100%Anyone who doesn't vote has no right to complain about anything political as they've opted to do nothing anyway![]()
