There could be a WNFL, but you cant make the current NFL co-ed simply because they would all get broken like twigs on the field. Its not sexist, its fact.

The only way this could possibly happen would be for an already man-women (girl born with too much testosterone in her body) to get a trans-gender operation - take more testosterone pills until she actually is a man. Except then she would be a he, and the original question is thrown out the window.

I don't think a team would want a women as a kicker or punter either. They will often times have to make plays too, like a kick off return coming back for a TD and the kicker is the last guy with a chance to tackle, women can't tackle men adequetly. And then there are onsides kicks where they're almost guarenteed to have to block. A punter may have to pull a fake, or at the very least see that a block is imminent and secure the ball or try for the 1st down. Why would a team want a women in that situation? She gets tackled, and she's out for the rest of the season.

Feminists are the only people who would disagree because they think their arguing for all womenkind or something. Meaning that rational women would agree with this too.

I can think of many things women can do that men can't and I'll never argue that men can hold with women at doing those things. Our bodys are different and genetics and science are more important when answering a question like this then some equality argument

Bahahaha. QB's have to have really strong arms. And they generally have to be tall enough to see over their linemen. Also, do you really think a woman would be more durable than a man? They get hit. A lot. Anywhere and everwhere. Have you ever watched football?

The ability to throw a football is more mechanics than sheer strength. Also, not every QB out there has the long ball ability of Brett Favre. There are many that are short distance throwers that still start.

As far as height goes, there are many QB's that are in the 6'0 - 6'2 range, by no means "tall"...for a woman yes, but look at the rosters for the WNBA and the olympic volley ball teams...there are some very tall female athletes out there. Obviously the "ideal" height is probably around 6'4"-6'5", but there are many exceptions.

Concerning durability, I think you underestimate how tough some women can be.

I watch college football every Saturday and the NFL every Sunday. The NFL is an elite crop of male athletes.

Have you ever watched any elite female athletes compete? Women can be taller, stronger, faster, and tougher than you give them credit for.

To the poster above who said that Mia Hamm could outkick 98% of NFL kickers, well you're smoking crack. Sure, she could probably outkick your average male. But there is NO WAY she can outkick the top 32 NFL kickers. Not to mention actually play football, like the kickers have to do sometimes, rather than just kick.

It just will never happen. The best men are stronger than the best women. Just like the average man is stronger than the average woman.

I'll agree with you once I see a women that can kick a football with the distance and accuracy of the leagues current kickers/punters. And when there is a team/coach/owner crazy enough to sign that women. Until then .........

And as for the QB argument, what about fingers? Personally I think finger length and strength are as important as arm strength in throwing a football, and women have inherrently smaller and shorter fingers.

Part of the "tackling like a woman" is due to them wearing a fraction of the protective gear compared to the rest of the guys on the field. It's also because they aren't as expendible as the rest of the special teams players. You typically have one place kicker and one punter, with somebody else that can fill in if need be. No where near the depth of special teams positions. I'm sure that has some role in their gingerly hits too.

You guys have to keep in mind that we are talking about the creme of the crop here...not your average person walking on the street.

Just because your average woman is 5'6" and has small hands doesn't mean that a 6'2" with "man hands" and a very athletic build doesn't exist.
