I just enjoyed a relative made bean soup with allspice in it. I was not very familiar with that spice and read up on it. I discovered I'd been eating it for years as a primary flavoring in Catsup which bring me to your post that reminded me of something I read that Heinz Catsup has the highest bug count by brand. Hehe, maybe why it's so good.

Might be. 🙂

Just because there's some fecal matter in our food doesn't mean I want to increase the intake.
I said nothing about eating fecal matter, much less anything about increasing the intake.

Our food processing needs to be cleaned up quite a bit.

I think there is a lot of fecal matter in the fecal matter in oysters probably including human, but even though I love those I devein my jumbo shrimp even though they probably came from much further out to sea.

It would be cool if we a could create a healthy food that that eats plastic.

Probably why I quoted Victorian instead of you.

My point being a certain level of disgusting pollutants is tolerable. Turning it into the main course... hell no.
Yes buy I was talking about talking about turning crickets into protein flour, not increase random bug parts in the food supply.

Synthetic meat will forst appear in fast food and, 90% won't care.
I don't think prices will go down that fast. At first rich people will eat it to show off their wealth and once the cost drops to cheap fast food, they switch back to real meat to again show off their wealth.

Calm down folks, no need to chop your neighbor up just yet. I read this morning that in Indonesia they slaughter 1 million dogs each year for food. A single bitch can produce a few litters every year so I think between dogs and of course rats, we'll be fully stocked for a long time. You'll never get rid of all the rats.

Thankfully I have lots of farmer friends. Just sent a steer to slaughter for meat for the next year. Love them T-Bones. 🙂

I have pain oatmeal everyday for breakfast, I be very happy if they make a toothpaste like sci-fi meal that can take care of my breakfast and lunch.

Beware of the Morlocks

I just hope we don't breeding young women for meat, Dolcett style.(Warning NSFW to look up or if you are easily offended. You have been warned. If you look it up and you are sicken and offended by this, well I did warned you didn't I? Don't blame me).

What about soylent? It's a beverage, but still.

And I know it's a typo, but "pain oatmeal" makes me chuckle.

I remember I looked into it when it first came to the market, it is a real meal replacement that I can drink mon-fri for lunch?

Yet that's a stupid typo.

update: a quick search on soylent don't looks too promising.

Soylent Green made from actual young female long pig slowly roasted alive will most likely taste far more delicious then fake soylent(Yes I'm joking, please understand this is a joke, with me trying to be funny).
