Don with your disposable income, I would buy both a 3770K & 2700K and do some testing & trials between the two. See which one you can clock higher and get the most performance from, then sell the other.

Ivy Bridge was disappointing... doesn't clock 5+ Ghz on air like a lot of people thought, but it doesn't "suck" lmao... I was out of OCing for a couple years, come back in the middle of the Sandy Bridge craze, this is a golden era of overclocking, SO simple it almost takes the fun away... We are very spoiled 🙂.

I'd be interested in seeing your specs.

Also, in a worst case scenario Ivy Bridge will be comparable to SB performance on good air cooling, with the bonus of some extra features and better IGP. There is no reason to buy SB anymore unless you can guarantee its a high overclocker, and IB will likely have outlier chips as well.
