Is it going to be like the gtx 680 where it really tough to order it online?
I have never been around for a CPU launch, or should say never planned on buying one when it was just released.
I was curious what to expect?
Newegg should have over 5K in inventory so not a chance
I hope not.
Then again, I remember having to wait like 2 months to pick up my E8400 back when they launched 4 years ago. And even then it was through a PC supplier who offered their shipment via HardForum.
I'm secretly happy with all the negative attention it's getting from the enthusiasts who swear IVB is worse than SB based on ES chips and such, as it might mean less competition to pick one up.

Should be available at alot of places I'd think.
Microcenter will sell out the quickest I'd think as they'll most likely have a bundle deal for those close enough to snag one.
I do have a microcenter but it about an hour from me in another state, with tolls /gas / taxes, I am better off just hitting f5 from work on newegg =)
No it does not have an Apple logo on it nor did Oprah touch it![]()
should i wait to get a ivy bridge or get a i7 2600k?
Well, from appearances IB should OC about the same as SB, looking like the 3770k is going to be a 95W part (same as 2600k) so power will probably be similar. 5-10% higher IPC at same clocks, if you can get a deal on a 2600k now probably worth it.

Has Intel ever had serious inventory issues at launch?
I don't really remember this ever being the case.
