ill pre order like 3 -4 i hope

Why? 😕

Well it'll all depend.
If the Wii is on short supply, I can sell the rest with some profit and get my system practically free.

but reading the previous ps3 fiasco for the 3 brothers I'll most likely end up with just 1

They're expecting to have 7-9 million built by the end of Q4. That's more than the Xbox 360 has sold in its entire first year. It's not going to be in short supply. (unless everyone who wants one buys 4 with the intention of selling 3 of them for a profit 😉)

I don't think you're going to make much profit off the Wii. The supply is no where near as short as it is for the PS3 and was for the 360.

Yea I'm still contemplating it. Im not gonna be camping out there or anything like that.
I'll probably head out an hour or so early and take my chances.

yeap. i wouldnt order a wii with the intentions of ebaying it. now i plan on getting a ps3 just for that reason.

if you pre-order you probably have to go to the store yourself and pick it up, eh? i'll be out of the country. guess i'll just get it shipped on teh intarweb.

Me too 🙂 I'll be in Italy.

Is it really even worth it to pre-order? I heard that they will have 1 million unit at launch and 6 million units by March '07. Seems like they'd be selling them in vending machines...

you may want to see if you can pre-order Zelda at the same time. I'd say the risk of running out of Zelda is greater than running out of the consoles.

I preordered Zelda weeks ago, I guess I'll get mario and red steel too. I think I'll bring a chair tomarrow morning 🙂

yay...just found out that my mom can call me out for tomorrow!

i called one store and they said they open at 10AM. what time do you guys think is the best time to get there?

I'm going a half hour after they open. I figure the initial line will be gone by then. (But I already have a preorder from Amazon.com so I'm not risking anything... I just really don't think they're going to sell out)

for those in the nyc area, the nintendo stor in rockefeller center has been taking pre-orders, and they guarantee you'll get one on launch day

EB Games is right across the street. Maybe I'll walk over there tomorrow morning.

I'm hoping to do the same thing, only I hope there isn't some BS midnight preorder event (as in midnight on a thursday night technically being Friday...we need to switch to 24 hour time...or at least make days switch over at 6am or something (considering most everyone considers it a new day after they wake up, not possibly before they go to sleep)

After some PS3 shady business gamestop corporate issued a memo. Text

Ok, first... pardon my n00bness here...

I would like to get one of these for VeggieFrog's finace' for his birthday. His birthday is in Nov. If it is not in his hands on the day, a card with a pic of one saying it is on it's way will suffice.

What is the best way to go here?

When will they launch? How much will they cost? And is it gonna be like other stuff that is first launched... scare and overpriced?

Thanks!

I believe it launches on November 19th for $249. That price gets you a console, one controller and a disc of sports mini-games.

There's been wide speculation as to the number of consoles available at launch. Nintendo has not indicated that there will be shortages, but if demand is higher than anticipated, it may be hard to come by.

Thank you, Mr. Chad.

Now... better to pre order, or just wait until launch date?

Better to pre-order... because then you're all but guaranteed one on the launch day. And if you don't get your preorder you can still buy one at BB/CC/Walmart/Target on launch day.

There's supposed to be 2 million on launch day so it shouldn't be an issue.
