They do do 1 per person, but the loophole is that you can just go to another gamestop and use a different phone number. Gamestop only organizes pre-orders by phone number. A cell and home number would get you 2.

Why is the supply so low ?

you should've gotten there atleast an hour early.
It's a pre-order which likely means it's limited and there will be other people wanting it 😛

try a local mall or something.

don't worry if you missed out. if they only had 14 wii preorders available, and there are going to be like 2-4 million on launch, you have nothing to worry about. i was expecting them to have atleast 50 allocated since there is supposed to be atleast 4x more available than ps3's.

I'm calling Corporate Gamestop/EB Games.....went to first gamestop they had 14 systems(and the manager said employees could NOT preorder) i was 15th in line. So i left and ran over to the EB Games close by, the asswipe manager there claimed there was no memo about employees reserving systems and the guy was taking reservations over the phone/had a list of people that had already 'reserved' there copy that just had to come in with the money....and all the people waiting ~10 of us were SOL and he told us we couldnt reserve until he got confirmation of his second shipment

Me and a couple guys from there are gonna bug corporate gamestop see what if anything we can get from them....even if they could fire that EB Games manager

EDIT: Talked to Gamestop Corporate, they are going to investigate. Apparently I'm the second person to call about that store this morning concerning the Wii. They cant guarantee me anything and I dont really care if I get a reservation or whatever. It was just the principle of fairness.

That's strange... but that would explain why all 4 of the EB Games/GameStops around me are sold out already. 🙂

I didn't go early because I already have a preorder from Amazon, but I figured they'd have ~50 per store considering how many Nintendo is expecting to ship.

Yea they said I'd be getting a call from the district manager in a few days. Apparently they will be disciplining up to and including firing managers/employees who did this.

woo hoo! just got my preorder in! with zelda of course. i went to the oak brook terrance eb games at around 9AM and i was #2 in line. damn worth it.

oh, there was like 12-14 tickets/preorders at our store. supposedly at the gamestop down the street there were people camped out since YESTERDAY and they had brought heaters and laptops with them and the store was nice and let them run their power plugs in the store.

im just "wiilly" happy now. my store also mentioned that they might be doing a midnight launch thing, but they dont know if they are yet.

Just got back from EB games, Leawood Kansas. I got in line at 9:30 am, eighth spot. They only had six available. I talked to the store manager on Tuesday about the PS3 launch and he said they had eight of those.

What the hell? Eight PS3s and only six Wii? I'm a bit suspicious. At least I'm on vacation the week of the 19th. I'll have to stand outside the local Target and get one.
