Why would a car suddenly fishtail on a curve?

likely bad tires with a combination of his bed being the lighter end of the truck and it being rear wheel drive.

I did the exact same thing but in my small front wheel drive geo prizm, curve was barely wet. Back tires wasn't in the best of shape. But 2 ppl could probably pickup the back end of my car with nothing in the trunk.

Worn tires are hard plus cold weather and hitting a patch of oil on the road will cause all that. My rear tires are quite hard and last a while, thus in winter i can accelerate normally and do a standing burn out. Its retarded.
