I'm just going based on experience from driving it a few laps around a road course. It felt like a cardboard box slopshow. I'm also well aware of how a camaro handles, my mother has one.. it's absolutely awful. I'll take my Evo X any day of the week over the cars on that list.

The mouth of the exit was wide and inviting, so I blipped the throttle and downshifted and maintained highway speed for some spirited weekend driving. But 1/4 way through it got narrow and radius suddenly sharpened hard left. Stupid on my part since I'd never taken that ramp before. Yeah it's scary as hell and my eyes got the size of dinner plates, but calm and patience will keep you from wrecking your car more than the brake pedal will. Resist the urge the hit the brakes ;)

Just did that exact thing two days ago. Gives you a nice heartbeat spike.

Man u guys . The man said road was dry sunny and well known tohimself . The reason it happened could be many . Tires not + pressurized . Broken or worn suspension parts . My wifes old 94 T bird had problems with breaking front springs , She broke 2 than I installed GOOD aftermarket set . End of broken spring problems . But the ops question has many many variables, Alinment airpressure worn or broken suspusion parts or just bad tires and more.

You'd take your Evo X over any of those cars on the list he posted??? Right well good for you. I forget how cool an Evo is.

May have hit a patch of oil, diesel, water, ice, all of the above, lost concentration, suspension failure, tire fatigue/pressure issue or all of these reasons combined into some kind of driving hell.

Over the Porsche 993 and the Skyline? Really?

Do you have $1000? I will trade you $50 for it plus a cool Evo X keychain...

I wouldn't drive a Porsche 993 or Skyline half the places I do with my Evo, so no, I wouldn't take them as my primary vehicle. If I was going to buy a secondary vehicle for special sunshine weather and no rain, snow, dirt roads, mud, etc.. then sure, I would drive one. For the performance I got for my money, coupled with drive-ability in all conditions, it blows away the list.. especially now that I'm doing some small upgrades.

What do think of the Evo X? The reason I ask is that I'm wanting to buy an Evo 9 FQ360 MR next year to replace my WRX.

The Evo X is an amazing car, I would highly recommend it. Personally, I would pick it over a WRX STi, but they are both great cars.

Stock Evo isn't set for rally/offroad, it's lowered far too much, and has rubber-band tires. Ever see the real rally editions? They are raised up and have a lot more sidewall on the tires. Skyline is AWD as well, and stock v stock, I don't think you'd see much if any difference in driveability for various conditions that aren't as severe as actual rally racing.

The tires on the Evo are not good for snow, rain, dirt roads, or mud. They are high performance street rubber and would be downright dangerous on cold icy roads. Now, if you put some winter rubber on it the car would be great in the snow...but not with the stock rubber.

I have Dunlop Winter Sport 3D's on for the winter. And the car can take quite a beating.. I've given it the run through. ^_^ BTW, if you breathe wrong on the GTR, they void your warranty.

Evo X and Evo 9 aren't even the same car. Evo X is a heavy pig. Yes it handles well but I'd rather have the 9 as it's lighter/smaller.

That's because the 8 and 9 are death traps in an accident. The X does much better in crash tests, especially side impact. (hence safety equipment added carrying weight) The X has a slightly nicer interior, responds better to mods, has almost everything redesigned from the ground up, AYC, bigger brakes, bigger/wider tires, etc. It's nearly the same quickness considering stock 9 vs stock X, and quicker around tracks due to more power (and better controlled power to the wheels) and better handling. But, an FQ model Evo with extra power is not worth the extra money spent. Doing a simple ECU reflash for a couple hundred dollars on a stock X can bump you up about 50whp.

I'm sorry, but your analysis is far too technical and specific for us to comprehend. Could you possibly generalize your conclusion a bit more so we can understand? Maybe you meant "all vehicle makes beginning with the letter C" or "all cars made in america"?

hehehee
