3) Mandate the saftey feature (blow n go or whatever the latest tech is)
This is the point I'm addressing. I'll address the others later if I have time.
The latest tech can be circumvented by sucking instead of blowing. It sucks.

I've had my blow and go installed for a few days now and I don't think it would be bad for all cars to have them. It takes an extra ten seconds before you take off but wouldn't that be worth saving thousands of lives a year? It would also do away with not knowing your bac like things are now.
It would get my vote for sure
You have got to be one of the most consistently ignorant people on this forum.
"Why not make our impossible"?
Why not make your impossible? You fucking 'tard!
Then someone will complain about unnecessary costs; they would have a point.
You had a DUI right? I sure as hell wouldn't want a drunken slob like you behind the wheel of a car after your weekend ration of shit beer.I don't care about costs, I care about needing to use my car in an emergency and having that device fail.
In the end DUI/DWI is more a political problem than a real one at the level they set for it.
How many people are killed at .08? Most events are at double that and beyond.
It's the only crime in the US that millions are arrested and fined heavily over hurting nothing because only several thousand were affected, most of which were those doing the drinking to begin with.
It says a lot when the person that started the movement wants nothing to do with how it's enforced now.
I'm not going to argue the semantics of .08 vs. .1
What's more important to me are the times of day. Simply put .08 at 4:00 in the afternoon is far less dangerous than .08 at 1:00 in the morning. It's that combo of time & booze that's the real killer. You are already tired, add the alcohol on top and that's a bad recipe.
That being said it's my opinion(and likely backed by some statistics that I can't find) that most people are more likely to consume more later into the night when they are already at higher risk of accidents. I can accept the .08 laws as I do really feel like they have made a positive impact on alchol related deaths.
that makes no sense
who's on the road at 1am?

My insurance never was affected, my job search was never affected, I just had to pay.
That night I had drank about 6 beers from 6pm to 2am (my tab)...I was arrested pulling into my driveway by a chick I broke up with calling a friend that was a cop I believe.
My roadside was done with me in the middle of the road with both cops off it. Cars were seen in the tape almost running me over.
I kept asking them to repeat their instructions because with traffic I couldn't hear. They asked me to say the alphabet, I thought it was backwards...I said it perfectly 3 times. They documented it. They arrested me because they thought I didn't know the alphabet.
Later I blew .168 which was impossible for the amount I drank. I never drove drunk in my life...I'd just camp it out and wait for the time to pass.
I just paid it out...about $5000. That's what it is all about. They even let you pay for your community service. WOW! $10/hr then. That was when I was only making a fraction of what I make now. In reality, today that would have never happened...today paying that $10k for a lawyer and fucking them back would have been so worth it.
Fuck today was $4000, paid...not on credit. Meanwhile for many today would have been a crisis...one they couldn't do.
You are just sad now looking back how shitty your life ended up. I can't comment directly, but I got 10 infraction points that never expire for just posting a richard simmons pic in a ATHF thread.
I think that's the way you look at the world, like somehow you are better than everyone. In the end you are just a has been, trying to play a part they can't live up to and now have a vehicle to punish people.
fucking loser.
Is this like the fox who bites off his own tail to escape a trap and then tries to convince all the other foxes not having a tail is great and they should all bite off their's.
Screw that. I don't drive drunk. Never have never will. I don't want an extra hassle everytime I start my car because of idiots who do drive drunk.
So you've never drive after drinking at all, or just never been caught?
An observant one you are, seeing the small invisible text reading "and get caught" following his second sentence. Everyone knows that everyone drives drunk. Some people are just lucky in never being pulled over.
if you have no way of knowing what your actual BAC is...how would one know for sure that they haven't?
Where did Leros state that he drinks (but not to the point of being legally intoxicated) and drives?
