Why is there so much negativity on this board?

I've noticed that these forums encourage a lot of negative, snarky and harsh responses ... people generally seem to favor being unsupportive and critical of one another rather than supportive and friendly... there really is no sense of camaraderie and you know that if you post anything personal, you're almost certainly in for a barrage of nasty criticism, regardless.

Not all hobby-related message boards are like this... another one I visit has a much more positive, helpful and friendly atmosphere... are people on this board just bitchy and insecure? What do you think is the reason for the excess of negativity often found here?

enough with this hippie talk

It's just the way some people are. Most of the people in here are sarcastic and attempt to be witty. Very few have actual malicious intent.

Naw, wouldn't go that far. Ask a fair question and usually a fair response is in there somewhere.

These forums, especially OT and P&N are for the humor of the members, not for actual help. If you want actual constructive help, that is what the Tech forums are for. Camaraderie only happens if you are passing out beers.

because we are as tough and mean in real life as we are on the internet.

and we all have 13" wangs and make 140k a year minimum.

It's more common than you think. People can vent a little bit by being assholes online.

That's why I do it, anyway.

It's up to 140K now? Dammit!

I'm curious... what is the official ATOT e-penis car nowadays? It used to be the either the G35 or the Acura TL, but I'm not sure what the new hawtness is now.

If you don't say stupid things you don't get your ass kicked for it. The equation is simple, ATOT practices intellectual Darwinism.

Because only the thick skinned and tough deserve to stay in ATOT... If you cannot take criticism go to P&N, there's a lot more acceptance and friendly atmosphere in there

Fuck you polish guy. FUCK YOU 😕

A Pole came home one day from work, hung up his coat, took off his hat and walked into his bedroom shouting "honey I'm home!"

What should he see but his best friend in bed with his wife. Infuriated, he rushed to the cupboard, pulled out his gun and put it to his head. His wife started laughing. "Don't laugh!" he screams. "You're next!"
