Why is there so much negativity on this board?

I've noticed that these forums encourage a lot of negative, snarky and harsh responses ... people generally seem to favor being unsupportive and critical of one another rather than supportive and friendly... there really is no sense of camaraderie and you know that if you post anything personal, you're almost certainly in for a barrage of nasty criticism, regardless.

Not all hobby-related message boards are like this... another one I visit has a much more positive, helpful and friendly atmosphere... are people on this board just bitchy and insecure? What do you think is the reason for the excess of negativity often found here?

If you can not handle it leave. Simple as that.

I think the general tone in the past was a bit better, but it ebbs and flows. I haven't seen it much these days, maybe because I don't spend much time here, is that elite members used to get a free pass on anything they said to anyone, and some of them were just HUGE flaming cunts. A few members that can't be banned can really ruin a forum.

sometimes i miss the day when there were no elite members, you knew who the assholes were and what to expect from them, and you couldn't fucking cuss. how times change.

Thats because it doesn't bother me but brightens up my day. A great laugh to use all the negative energy and turn it into positive energy.

That's just how it is I suppose. Some good person will eventually answer the question to your thread, but you'll have to sift through all the Bullshit people that only post to bump up their thread count. They won't admit it, but when they post things like NEF, or I like Bacon................ It's only to boost their post count to make them look special.

Not really, as someone mentioned before, it's mostly in an attempt to make some witty comment or attempt at humour. I don't post counts matter too much.

That is so original and not funny. I don't give a fuck what anyone thinks of me here, but when I post something, I mean it!.......... Unless I apologize for it later on through a PM

Sorry, that's my bad. I'll try to be more positive in the future. 😛

I already took responsibility for all the negativity here so why don't your just STFU! :|

Why don't you eat my asshole bitch! :|

With all the traffic your asshole's seen I don't think Mick Jagger could get his lips around that sinkhole.

This exchange has it all: Homoerotic tension and the kind of fierce insincerity you usually only find in a government clerk patiently explaining why they can't possibly help you with your seemingly straightforward request.
