Actually Tominator...you did bring the bible into it.

<<Looks like

<< They >>

whoever they are have been proven wrong.

The Bible says "keep silent where the Bible is silent."

There is absolutely zero scientific evidence that Man evolved from apes. >>

And I have to agree with Moose. I've never seen many diseases cured by anyone but "Buffoons".

Believe what you want to believe.

You have to have as much faith in your religion - evolution - with it's many conflicting theories, as someone else has to have in the Bible.

Darwin's original theories have been so discredited.

Faith is not the way to describe a belief in the ways of science. Faith implies believing something where there is no basis of proof. You should so explain what you mean by darwin's theories have been discredited. not to say that you're wrong but i'm just curious.

Even Darwin knew all his work was theory and speculation. All unproven. Again YOU need to define Scientific Fact. I know what the term means. Evidently you do not. Try again.

Antisocial-Virge
No disease has ever been cured by a theory. Sound Scientific Method is how a disease is cured.

Another term I wonder why they do not teach the definition of anylonger.

Well, let's see what the Bible says about "faith". "Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld." (Hebrews 11:1)

You cannpt prove evolution. Yet you believe it. I cannot prove creation to you although I believe it.

What Darwin originally believed and wrote about in his Origin of the Species has been so changed and modified from what present day evolutionists believe as to be almost unrecognizable. Unless I am mistaken, he believed in a Creator starting some forms of life that later evolved.

Basically...
1. Christians have faith, i.e. they believe without seeing/knowing/proving
2. Atheists have no faith, i.e. you question everything.
3. Darwin was mostly right.
4. The bible is mostly right.

5. Anyone watched South park last nite? :) wonder what would happen if people really knew what god looked like. hehehehahahaha

<< You have to have as much faith in your religion - evolution >>

Evolution is not a religion. Just because I believe in something does not make it my religion.
I believe in gravity, yet I don't go around worshiping it and thanking it for my new job or anything.

Didn't Charlton Heston prove otherwise? :)

Actually tom its a theory, there is not absoloute understanding of gravity, so it remains a theory, much like evolution.

<<You ask me for scietific evidence to prove what i say, well where's yours.

Abracadabra: there is none, ever heard of the big bang???? >>

That would be the Big Bang.....THEORY? No proof of that either, but Christians would point out that the bible leaves plenty of room for a so-called "big bang" to have been caused by God.

Bottom line is, there are plenty of elements of truth in both science AND the bible. Most scientific theories have plenty of circumstantial evidence, but also plenty of hypothesis. There is a certain amount of faith involved in both.
I think there is plenty evidence that there is definitely something or someone much greater than we are involved in our creation/existence. I don't think either scientists or clergy would argue much with that.

Why hasn't the world come to an end...

You're dissapointed about this?

and where is Jesus?

Living in the hearts of all true believers (1JN 5:10, RO 10:10) and knocking on the door of those who don't (REV 3:20)

The bottom line is this:

BELIEVE WHAT YOU WANT.

The end. Don't condemn someone for their beliefs. Sure, I will argue my beliefs with a xian any day of the week. I don't go out of my way forcing my ideas on others. I post controversial topics here but you have the ability to choose whether to read it or not.

The bottom line as I see it:

There are essentially two groups arguing hear. Niether will compromise, niether can claim victory, or defeat for that matter. You will believe what you believe, and i will believe what i believe, so why keep flaming at each other. I think that we all know that the other side, whoever that may be, won't give in, and we're just doing this to affirm our own beliefs, for our own purposes. Y not just leave it at that and get back to more pics of vi's gf :)

Moose

Edit: well i just realized that i said essencially(sp) the same thing as Dedpuhl. I guess it helps to read all of the posts b4 replying. on that note, right on Dedpuhl.

<< Evolution is not a religion. >>

Religion 2.A personal or institutionalized system grounded in such belief

4 A cause, a principle, or an activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion.

Well, you are certainly defending something.

Anyway, who cares what the "prophets" say about the Second coming of Jesus? Jesus himself says NO ONE will know the day or the hour of his return.

Shuxclams...Gravity fits the definition of Scientific Fact perfectly!

I'll note that the so-called educated amoung us do not seem to know the definition of Scientific Fact or the difference between that term and Scientific Theory.

I learned this in 9th grade.....!!!

Scientific Fact/Proof....That which can be duplicated in the laboratory.

Possibly you have enough sense to try and define Scientific Method?

MajesticMoose I guess you can tell us why a Giraffe has a long neck...supposing your theory regarding the Galapagos holds up....Same reasoning....!

Red Dawn....Evolutionists are so desperate to prove that we indeed did evolve from apes that they look silly! There hasn't even been a link discovered. Nothing that is in between , a Missing Link, has ever been discovered....DNA evidence only supports an Adam and Eve event.

I cannot prove or disprove either. However to promote theories as facts is just stupidity in action. They are so desperate to deny a Creator they will do or say nearly anything.

Oh no... we're all gonna die soon.

Damn.. I better invest all my savings to get myself a laptop and a DDR machine before I die.

Too bad we'll never get to see Palomino and Clawhammer. Oh well.

Edit: Windogg - You probably heard this a million times, but I want your machine. :)
