I thought the entire idea from the start was taking a stance against oppression as a whole, not oppression against themselves specifically. Are some people believing the latter is the case? That might explain the 'he's a millionaire, why is he complaining about oppression' garbage.

EDIT: Not to say a millionaire athlete cannot be oppressed, just saying, it's a silly argument to make period, especially silly considering the stance being taken is from those with a voice, to protect those without.

Nice try quiz kid but Michael Bennet was protesting before(preseason) his incident with police. Therefore he is protesting because of the oppression of others. Just facts.

Trump didn't say anything about "black athletes". He did however comment on numerous occasions about the NFL Athletes taking a knee and showing disrespect for the Flag, country, military etc during the playing of the National Anthem. Nowhere did I see where race was brought up except the liberal media and this forum which is overly liberal by any measure.

Then it gets brought up about they have freedom of speech... Yes they do, but as the liberals have so abundantly stated freedom of speech also come with the risk of being chastised for your opinion.

The president also has a right to free speech, he voiced his opinion on the matter.

I think polls showed that 64% of Americans agreed with the President on this matter.

The president has a right to speak but shouldn't he reserve that right for official speech rather than being a morbidly obese 6 year old rich kid bully who has more power than he ever should have?
