I can use my MuVo TX FM while mountain biking, and it won't hurt the player.

HDD ones can and do skip

flash ones require a lot less juice, lighter, no moving parts thus are more durable

what more could you want

I used my Ipod 20gb 3rd gen for jogging and on many occasions, after jogging for about 15 min, the Ipod would have trouble reading the HD probably due to too much bouncing/headslap of the HDDs.

than stick to HDD players

imo mp3 players wont be small enough till they reach credit card size and thickness

that wont be possiable seeing as a headphone jack is much thicker then a CC

it's common sense that hd based players get damaged easily. i must have droped my flash based player so many time and its still rock solid even with all the scratches. a hd based one would have def died on me by now

He is referring to the durability of bouncing around w/ a hard drive.

To a lot of people, having anything over a few GB is completely pointless. Does it really matter if you have 10,000 songs or 1,000 songs when you are working our for 45 minutes?

I doubt many people with the current flash players actually run out of music very often. People use their MP3 collections as just another way to go around comparing e-peens. "Look at me, I have 10,000 songs and I listened to 7 of them today!" Get over yourselves.

I have a Lyra RD2760 (it has HD not flash), and I've used it solely for working out for over 2 years now, it works great, but I dropped it acouple weeks ago, now there is a spot in the middle that skips :(. I'll probably go with a flash one next time as it is less prone to skipping, but mine still works great, and holds plenty of music 1.5 Gb. to each his own
