Why do people not like PETA?

I was going through their main site after watching that raccoon video. It seems most of what they're against are extreme cruelty towards animal.

So do people not like them because of their believes or is it because of their method?

From Penn and Teller's Bullshit
the Vice President takes insulin which was made because of animal testing
The President gave money to a man who firebombs research labs
they killed thousands of cats and dogs because they believed that was the only way to save them

Because they think animals should have the same rights as people.

They think we should stop all animal testing (even rats), even if that means huge numbers of human deaths.

They value animal life over human life plain and simply put, that is why people hate PETA.

Peta folks are wackier than a 3 dollar bill. There newest line is that fish are smarter than most dogs, so we should not be eating fish....give me a freakin break....🙂

If you cannot understand why PETA is crap, please neuter yourself immediately so you do not further contaminate the gene pool with your stupidity.

CBS) Fish can be wondrous to behold and delicious to consume, but now animal rights activists are declaring that fish are smart - too smart to eat.

"They actually do better on cognition tests than do dogs and cats," says Bruce Friedrich of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

Friedrich believes a fish is an intelligent individual.

Because they'd want us all arrested for shoeing a horse (EXTREME CRUELTY! but the horse doesn't even feel it and it protects their hooves from cracking) or putting our dogs to sleep when they're old.

Tell them NOT to blink if they recognize something, and blink if they don't.

Its ok that they have diffrenet perspectives on us but when they phsically get in your face and start doing extremist shlt that a terrorist might do is what pisses people off at that there group

They're terrorists. The believe every human should be a vegan (and then they'll probably be for plant rights) and think no animal should be used for human good.

If they had their way, humanity would probably be extinct by now as we'd have all been killed off by disease years ago. They're terrorist freaks, plain and simple and should be outlawed.

..there's no virtue in stating the obvoius. They're largely a bunch of rich..out of touch white people who do goofy things like feed feral cats and cry and complain about fast food joints and leather chaps..but completly ignore the real people problems in their own community. I hear they all meet at McD's to debate policy issues.

Most of their concerns are legitimate, but people are more interested in what conveniences themselves rather than what inconviences others, including animal cruelty.
