LOL, I love how people like to diss Wal-mart clientele. It's not like you have to eat, sleep or go hang out with these people. You're just going to the store to shop.
But I guess that's the American way: think that you are superior to everyone else.
No, but when I do get run over with carts, have to dodge children running wild, work around a maze of people blocking aisles and squabbling over every little thing with cashiers while I wait in line it is a problem. When I park my car in a lot full of people who have no respect for it then that's a problem. I don't think I'm superior than everyone else. I KNOW I'm superior to people with poor manners and no respect. Take that how you want, but where I choose to do business is solely my choice and I'm welcome to factor in whatever reasons I feel like when I make that decision.
What you describe happens in nearly any mainstream, mass market, retail establishment in America. Whining brats can be anywhere -- my GF and I were in Harris Teeter last night (I guess you could call it a high-end grocery store around these parts) and there was a 3 year old girl screaming her head off and running around like a little demon-seed bastard. The mom thought it was cute -- we didn't.
But you know what we did? We ignored them and went about our shopping.
People with poor parking behaviors? Puhlease. That happens EVERYWHERE.
People bitching about the way things ring up? Are you new to this country?
I'm not saying that Wal-mart is perfect... far from it. But the crap that people bring up in this thread just really irks me.
To tell you the truth, when I go shopping, I'm in "the zone." I don't give a shit about anyone or anything other than my primary objective. That means, get in with pinpoint accuracy, find my target, then scoop it up and pay for it. If my means to achieve the goal were hindered on a continual basis, I wouldn't dare set foot in a Wal-mart.
However, whenever I go to Wal-mart, I have no problems dodging fat people or other "undesirables" to get what I want and checkout within a reasonable amount of time.
