We're just jealous that Mac users have more money than brains. We wish we could spend a left nut on a computer upgrade just because its "pretty". Its nothing personal I assure you.

I've done that before, except i have a PC.

I just game on my Xbox and Gamecube. Gaming on my PC got too expensive having to upgrade all the time(hard to justify a new 400 dollar vid card to your fiancee every couple of months). Xbox Live keeps my online gaming addiction under control. 😉

I've upgrade my PM 3 times in the past 5 years. From a PowerComputing PM to a G3 something, then Dual G4 1.25, and the current Dual G5 2.0. All purchased by department fund for work related projects, but I don't have to use a dime. I'm pretty sure you know where this is going. 20" Cinema Display, 2GB RAM, all the latest Adobe software, yada yada. Mac's nice if you don't want your damn kids to install a crap load of spyware and virus onto a computer while surfing the net.

I use logitech and MS optical mice on the Macs.

Because they only have a one button mouses and they suck.

Buy a multi button mouse. Simple as that.

Anyways, I use both PC and Mac. I prefer the Mac simply because I have had a better experience with them.

Whoever says Mac's are not upgradeable is a wanker. No offense. Macs have been very upgradeable for a very long time. The PM 9600 that I have had since 1997 was completely upgradeable. I upgraded the processor and added extra RAM. I also had the choice of putting a new video card, additional video memory, additional HD's (up to 7+ HD's.), etc.

I currently own a Powermac G4 400mhz tower, which I am planning to do many upgrades to it. Upgrading the processor, video card, memory, etc can all be done.

I'm no fanboi though. 🙂

Don't hate Mac at all myself, have a PowerTowerPro 225 that I have on my desk. Only problem is that I'm going to have to upgrade it a good bit to run OS X or put Linux on it. I may go with Linux even after an upgrade because of the slow system bus speed. Oh well, at least I can put up to a gig of RAM in along with a G4 processor.

fixed (taken from a mac spoof video 😛)

We need link to that spoof video.

Mac machines provide experience more than actual power. Technically, you can do a lot of things on PC if you know your sh*t, but on Mac you don't really have to know a lot to do that.

But I agree with a lot of people here. Apple fanboi sucks. They ruin what is essentially just another choice in the computing market. Choices are always good, and so are competition, given that to be fair, healthy competition.. One does not have to be absolutely better than the other, and to each his own.

At work we use windows as our PA system control OS just because more people know how to program for windows than Macs. This is one area that's often ignored when comparing the two markets. I wish I could convince them to run Linux or Mac OS X, which would solve a lot of my problem and maintenance issue.

i fail to see why there are so many people who hold a grudge against the mac and apple. it is like they are evil or something. Yet they are just another company right?

what the heck?

The computers themselves seem to be built nicely, but I find the design a bit "unmanly". Would you sport a pastel colored car? Would you wear a pink shirt? I wouldn't.

And probably the biggest turnoff for me is the Mac crowd. It seems that every outspoken pseudo-artistic metrosexual with a blog uses a Mac. I went into an Apple store with a friend and I swear that half the customers in there just got back from a PeTA/Antiwar/feminist protest.

To put it bluntly they seem like a bunch of fags.

um...did anyone else find this question kinda silly?

"Why do Mac haters hate mac so much?"
erm...because by definition, mac haters must hate macs. If they didn't hate macs, they wouldn't be mac haters and wouldn't be the subject of questioning.

Then again, if it's a question as to why they hate it SO MUCH. The answer would inevitably be because they're very good at their jobs.

I sport an aluminum laptop that seems manly enough to me. 🙂
