Why do Mac haters hate mac so much?

i fail to see why there are so many people who hold a grudge against the mac and apple. it is like they are evil or something. Yet they are just another company right?

i don't hate macs, but when i generally oppose macs, it's because their promoters usually take a fanboy stance and GREATLY EXAGGERATE how good macs really are. we all know mac hardware isn't the greatest (and it doesn't really matter, people who buy macs buy it for other reasons), but some people try to promote g4s + g5s as some kind of performance king that it clearly is not. also, mac os x might be great, but everyone prefers their OS for certain reasons, and mac os x is not perfect in any sense.

agreed... we have this one mac fanboy @ our university... every class i have with the kid he always finds a way to bring up the macs and bash pcs... i h8 him... i really do...

edit... i dont have anything against macs and i use them on occasion...
 
Yeah, it's kind of stupid. I think that whenever one group of people starts holding an irrational stance, another group of people will start holding an irrational stance in the opposite direction...So back when Macs were obviously worse than PCs, yet still had fanboys, a group of anti-Mac zealots arose and continue to exist even today, where both machines have their pluses and minuses.
 
I was a PC user(Upgrade-A-Holic) until may of last year, when i bought a powerbook.

Now i prefer Mac.
 
I don't hate Macs really, but I just fail to see the purpose of spending more to get less when I could get a PC instead.

I don't hate Macs. I just don't have a use for them. I'm a gamer so I use a PC.

A few months ago, I was at the Apple store looking at Ipods and the employee was telling me that a 1.4 GHz Mac would be significantly faster than my P4 2.8 OC'd to 3.2. I think that's stretching the truth a bit.
