Why do chicks like to date older guys?

I first noticed this in high school when I was a lowly freshman/sophomore where girls in my grade would be dating seniors and dudes that already graduated! And it didn't get any better as a junior/senior, many of the chicks would be dating strictly guys who have graduated. Well, where the hell does that leave guys like us? Are you supposed to stake out a claim on the elementary school chicks? It gets a little better in college but still I notice alot of 18/19/20 year old women dating guys in their mid twenties. . .

I think that some guys become more mature, I think that some guys are worse. when they get older because all they think about is sex.

it is. back in the day when i was in high school, a majority of the girls had college boyfriends. and this was sophomore year.

i wouldn't go out with a high school girl, cuz i don't like their attitudes. a lot of them are stuck up b!tches. sure, there are some nice ones, but again, there's the stuck up b!tch complex that many have. or maybe that's just around here...

More mature. I tend to like women around my age, if not older, because the few women I have dated younger than me were just way too immature.

Viper is close, but there's an even better reason for this behaviour.

When you look at other animals, you'll often see younger females mate with older males. Older males are just the stronger types, with more experience and can thus offer more protection for the female and her offspring.

Older males are often the leader of a group as well, so they've more status. Younger males will always try to take over this status, which usually results in a duel between a younger male and the leader.

Interesting, eh? 🙂

I don't think it's so much a maturity level as it is a &quot;stability&quot; level. By stable I mean that older men are settled into their jobs, aren't really going to be moving around from apartment to apartment, and can offer a more stable relationship.

Of course, this is a broad generalization, but there is some truth in it 🙂

They do it for bragging rights, because it makes them look cool to their friends.
They do it because the older guys generally do have more money, and a car.
They do it because the guys are more mature and (by comparison) aren't so screwed up.
They do it because they will get to go to places they otherwise wouldn't be able to.
They do it because it makes them feel more desirable and boosts their self-esteem.

On the other hand, college guys like HS girls because they will be available any time the guy snaps his fingers, they don't complain about the way they are treated, and they don't make demands. They'll put up with just about anything in order to maintain the advantages outlined above. So in other words, the guy can have a gf in college, and a HS girl on the side whenever he has time available.

Women generally date older guys because its considered the norm. They are just going along with tradition.

Apart from that, many girls need that father figure because more often than not, their father was absent either physically or at least emotionally when they developed.
