when you meet someone, do you honestly believe that you never "prejudge"?? omg, there are soo many levels on which we prejudge. color of skin is just one aspect of this prejudging. what about the way the person stands, the type of hairstyle, the clothes they wear, the car they drive. our subconscious takes all of these into consideration and comes out with a summary report. WHAT DO YOU THINK FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE??

Do whatever you'd like, I really don't care. Just know, however, that by what you seem to think about blacks isn't better than what they may think about you. So, if you're going to complain about something like this, you end up just looking dumb (at least to me) because it's just the pot calling the kettle black. (Pun intended. )

I think it's more of how and where they are raised. I have "Afro American" friends as you call them(somehow that's sounds a little wrong to me). They are some of the nicest people I know, but then there are the ones that think they are owed by society for being slaves 150 years ago. Those are the people I don't like, the people that sit on their ass and think they should get promotions just because of what happened 50 years ago. And that's not limited by to any race or religion. I strongly believe that each person has to work their ass off to get ahead. I don't think you can lump people together based on skin color, finances, religion. You have to take each person one at a time. And actually learn who they are.

What ever happened to "black". I've never stepped foot in Africa so how could i be considered african-american. I'm a black dude. But i can see why people will have many different names for us cause some of us will start trippin if u dont call us african american. but i prefer black over afro american.

getting back to the topic, i am one of the most tolerant people i know. my crew consists of everry race u can think of besides white people.
If a black dude hit me, we would probably both drive off cause neither of our black a$$es has insurance.

Honestly, with firsthand experience dealing with ignorant black people and ignorant asian people, I think this is how it goes. Black person walks in. In Asian Person's mind, they instantly think that they're going to get robbed because of stereotyping or a bad personal experience with black people, especially when said person is wearing a ski mask or stocking cap or dew rag with a wifebeater and a pair of fubu jeans bigger than a regular asian person hanging off their ass with their boxers showing. So Asian person gets rude and/or surly. Black person gets rude and surly, because they thinks the asian be hatin on all blacks, and forms a stereotype. Then, say, this black person went into another asian place whose worker isn't stereotyping, and he is rude and arrogant, etc, or vice versa. The cycle continues, lather, rinse, repeat. The misconceptions spread across the board, and it doesn't help that some asians and blacks are racist anyways.

Or it could be because many black people are loud. You know, the Chris Rucker stereotype. Or something.

I live in a neighborhood where just recently, within a few years, two crack houses were busted. My mom and I have busted our asses to get where we are, and that ain't very far.
