Well, fuck MC, I am going to go up one side of them and down the other.

At 6am, I ordered online. Fine.

I wake up to a confirmation e-mail saying that "we're sorry, this is on back order but don't worry because we haven't charged your credit card." Which of course they did, now their customer service dept is closed, and God knows how long it's going to take those morons to put the money back on my credit card.

Farewell, MC, I never knew ye(and never will). Fuckers.

OK, because they really are F****ers I will let this go as far as infractions. But please edit like mine, and no more of the F word...

I reserved/online ordered the 2600K and Asus MB and it worked. Been trying to get the rig to work for the last hour but no having much success. I'm having trouble with the SATA ports.

I'm sure over-the-top profanity would be, but the moderators around here do a good job.

Really pissed, my broke ass can't afford to order another one to cover for it until Wed. Didn't realize MC was so half-assed, some poor cs rep is going to get an earful tomorrow (not directed at them). That is the reason why NE will continue to get the lion's share of my business. Fucking amateur hour.

Oh well, I'm done venting. Enjoy your systems all :)

Anyone else go to the MC in Michigan? I'm blessed to live 10 mins from there. I got my 2500K at 11:15 AM there. I saw a bunch of people at checkout and none were buying the new procs. Sales guy I talked to said I was the first buyer he knows of. Bizarre, I expected a crowd of 10 people at least.

Now all I need is MB, RAM, SSD, GFX card, case, and PS. :)

I ordered the 2500k online early in the morning from MC to be shipped. I like that Gigabyte board but haven't ordered it yet. It's on the top of my list as far as mobo choices go, but I want to see more impressions from other guys as well. Thanks Axon.

I just got back from MC in Madison Heights, MI with my 2500k. The paper the sales guy gave me to take up to the register said they had 61 in stock. I didn't get a board yet, either. I'm not sure which one I want yet.

Feels great, very snappy. In terms of real world performance, I see the biggest changes in Dragon Age Origins, Crysis, and WoW (WoW is eating up crowded areas, like dalaran).

I can't believe this thing is stable at this clock, but it is so far (which is in line with all the reviews). It's getting a bit hot under full PRIME load, touching 78-80, but I am on the stock HSF and at 1.45v. Final temps will have to wait for my prolimatech 1156 bracket to come in.

Frankly, I think all the boards can go to 5+, it's all about the chips it seems.

Well, in the past, I seem to be the unluckiest guy here. Could get my 920 to 4 ghz, (now have 2 950's at 4.1 though), get an X2 550 and wouldn't unlock to a quad, and more that I can't recall off-hand.

So when my 2600k comes in Wednesday, if there is any chance I can get 5 ghz with my megahalem cooler, you can bet your chances are damn good yours can...

Have to wait a few days..

I was at the Boston MC at 11am (opening). The line was about 25 people long, and it was first come first serve. They cancelled all web orders as well (Yes, mine too).

They sold out of the 2600 and 2600K at about 11:45.

Sounds about what happened to most Dallas MC, except they honored the online orders meaning no 2600ks as you got into the door.
