Anyone here plan to get this title? I personally not too sure will get it or not. In any case I'd wait for a sale to buy it cheaper. But heard some good things in the reviews, esp. the graphics pretty decent and done by Gears of War group.

graphics are fairly meh. dx9 console port type stuff... they put some effort into making the post processing look decent though.

running an old core2duo oc'd to 3ghz in a 680i sli board 4gb ram and gtx460 and so far it's run it at max 60fps no problem. but i've only played it for about 20-30 mins so i haven't seen a lot of action on screen all at once yet.

check kotaku.com for a review that blows smoke up the game's ass (rimshot pls)

I'm not a prude by any stretch but the language in Bulletstorm is truly gratuitous and way over the top. I had to be a PARENT today and tell my 12 year old son (who is great at gaming) that I would rather he didn't play this one...

It's getting better reviews than I thought it would but still something I'm going to wait until a Steam price drop deal on it.

no, this one has a R-rated language I believe. Not for children. I don't really see the need for such strong language in a shooter. But I guess they pushing for that type of adult atmosphere.

Well it is rated MA so kids shouldn't be playing it anyways.

I agree. To any adults here with children, please do check this game before your children do, if you're responsible enough I would imagine that you would simply not allow him/her/them to play it at all. I'm not a father myself, but I would definitely tell my son/daughter/children "not of age" to stay away from it (or rather to impose them not to play it).

I think I'am gonna pass on bulletstorm, and pass for my kids as well. I dont see any reason for games to use foul language, and the limited game play - from what I hear less then 10 hours for $60.

When bulletstorm reaches the $20 or less price range, then I'll take another look at it.

On top of that, duke nukem forever comes out in a couple of months, I do no want to spend $60 on a game right now, and then another $60 in May + whatever else coems out.

What is GFWL???

Explain please.

Games For Windows Live.

An extra piece of software/authentication which can be quite buggy and prevent legitimate users from playing their games.

That said, I have never had issue with GFWL thus far and I do not approve of it as I find is superfluous to my needs as a gamer.

i was extremely dissapointed with the graphics. I maxed the game out 1920x1200 8xAA and don't drop under 60 fps min ever. There is a very 2007 feel to the game. I didn't care for the amount of hand holding and storyline in the first hour of the game. Hopefully multiplayer will be its saving grace. After playing Deadspace 2 for the last few weeks i was EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED with this release. Only thing i actually enjoy in the game is the particles from unreal engine. sorry if you don't agree, i just like GOOD shooters, gimmicks are just that. I'm sure the story will pick up but unlike on consoles you can't just rent this game for a week and play through it. . .when can we change that? gg

If you think DNF isnt going to have the same language you are far mistaken.
it is also chock full of nudity as well.
these games are for US the adult.
not the children and I like my language violence and nudity.

let the kids play the not mature rated games.
leave our adult games alone.

i'm sure duke will have adult language. but i'm also sure they'll actually use it in an adult way rather than having the main character recite every swear word in the dictionary in random order any time something bad happens. which is what the writing in bulletstorm is like.

i feel like cliff looked at their script and said "you know what... i want you guys to go back through here and anytime there's a comma or room for more words... slip an F bomb and something about dicks in. it'll make it edgy."

about as edgy as 12 year old hearing andrew dice clay for the first time.

Exactly, in context, ok, every other word, not necessary.

Not sure why there are so many people in this thread who are up in arms about the profanity. Was it really a surprise? Everyone knew early on that this game was going to have tons of it. Stop complaining. It's an M-rated game, no duh it's probably not for kids.

The excessive swearing and immature use of "potty humor" is part of the novelty (the rest of the novelty being it's a shooter that's extremely over-the-top, simply for the sake of being over-the-top). This is the kind of game you play when you don't feel like being intellectual, and you want to laugh with your friends at stupid stuff. No harm there. Don't like it? Good for you, go play something more "mature" in the actual sense of the word.

i swear like a sailor usually. it's not that i'm offended by any of it. it's that it's a MATURE rated game that has dialogue that sounds like a 12 year old wrote it.

it's not entertaining. it's not edgy. it's not even offensive. it's just a blatant attempt to trade actual decent content for a bunch of randomly sprinkled swear words that come across as trying too hard.

like i said... i have no problem with the words used... it's just that they're just saying them to say them. you might as well just play cod with a mp3 track that says "fuck" every 30 seconds. it'd be better than the dialogue in this game.

The irony is the only people that would enjoy hearing 'dick' over and over in a variety of phrases that make no sense are 14 year old boys.

Even with an adult rating, they knew who they were marketing towards.
