Who's bought a TouchPad so far?

No, this is fantastic tablet considering the price. Last thing I would call it is craptablet even at full price. Not everyone cares about apps. About 90% of my tablet use consists of browsing websites and email. This thing has full Flash, built in video SkyPE, and good email client. I can put bunch of movies and music for my daughter for long roadtrips. The hardware specs are comparable to iPad2 and Transformer. This thing also has the best Wolfson sound chip out of all tablets so music actually sounds good. It's absolute steal at this price even with zero future support. If they get Android working, even better. But for my use this is better than any iPad.

Everyone should read Anand's review on this site. It gives you good idea what to expect.

The FFC sucks:

Got bed hair? Doesn't matter with this video camera

Ordered two from HP on Friday night and picked one up on Saturday from Best Buy for my Dad. Still not sure if I want to keep one for myself, as I have an iPad already.

Is there something with the webOS update that would prevent us from installing Android if/when they are successful in porting it to the Touchpad? On SD, someone posted in the wiki that you shouldn't update if you want to install Android later. Is there a reason for that, or are they just being overly cautious?

hmm, have 2 in my b&n cart ready to go in case the onsale deal falls through...but if it doesn't then the b&n ones I'd have to sell for at least~$123 to break even......decisions

Or give some pretty awesome birthday/christmas gifts.

that's part of the plan with the onsale ones, don't really want a total of 4 more coming in though.

went ahead and ordered. b&n return policy looks rather easy to deal with so I'd say I have a good shot of getting 2 to go with my own one from one of those two buys.

I ordered one from BN. Their expedited shipping is surprisingly cheap! I had a friend posting on Facebook how he couldn't get one, so I'll most likely sell it to him (at cost of course 🙂) if he still wants one.

Bought a 32gb one 2 weeks ago at $499.99, and got best buy to do a price match today for the new price of $149.99. Ended up buying another 32gb one on HP's SMB site which hopefully ships on 8/24. My backup one for just in-case or to give out as a present sometime down the road.

Ack...stupid B&N doesn't ship to Alaska 🙁

I wouldn't be too bummed about B&N. I placed an order before 9:30PM, literally seconds after the deal went live, and I just received a cancellation.
