They asked him why it was inappropriate and he said Muslims attacked us. Please tell me where in there does he equate all Muslims with extremists? From there you rationalize that the only reason Bill would leave out the extremists part is because he thinks all Muslims are extremists, but he never said that you are assuming that's what he means.
