I ordered mine from the Apple Online Store in the wee hours of the 15th. Still says that it will be delivered on the 19th. I'm a bit skeptical of that claim as my order status says "not yet shipped" but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I won't cry if I don't get it on the 19th but if my Razr dies before the iPhone shows up I'll be in a real bind.

You are correct, Bing is only for brand new activations. Though, 35% back is like $100 rebate for the 32GB phone, not a bad deal.

As for applying for a FAN (Foundation Account Number), you'd probably have to have a certain amount of lines before qualifying. I'd imagine it would be prohibitive for a small buiness as its probably in the hundreds of lines.

As a 3G owner I am going to pass this time around. There is nothing hardware-wise that will make this a worthwile upgrade, and the new OS will take care of most gripes we had with it from the beginning. Don't get me wrong, new bump in the hardware specs is nice, but it's not nice enough (to me) to justify a $400 expenditure at this time. I am holding out until next year when hopefully a truly next-gen version will be released and I will be eligible for full sibsidy price.

In the meantime I will enjoy my new Nokia N97 that will be delivered today 😀

Lame, the link to my company's at&t premier website has two ads for pre-ordering the 3G S but when click on them it takes you to a listing of all of their phones but no 3G S. 🙁

If I order it from the consumer site, can I just call afterwards to switch to my company's premier monthly rate plan?

I pre-ordered 6/12 from AT&T online and it still shows my order as "In Progress". Tomorrow delivery does not look like it is happening...maybe it will change with nightly processing but I'm not holding my breath.

I called and after 30 minutes on hold, met up with a nice rep who told me my order was processed and waiting to ship (online still says in progress)

I called and didn't have to wait too long - about 5 minutes or so but was told that the orders for the new iPhones were not going to be processed until tomorrow so it won't be shipped until then so I won't be getting it tomorrow. He said Saturday or Monday would be more likely.
