neat
I plan on putting a computer (ITX) in my WRX within the next couple months, so I think I'll just make a flash animation or something that has a dyno graph that makes it look like my car has 500+hp to trick people...hehehe, just thought about this, and I'll definitely have to do it...

Kia van 100 HP (but lots of torque - diesel)

Past vehicle - Datsun 520 pickup (1968) - 1300cc - 58 HP

Top speed approached 80MPH with a long enough highway (and a touch of tailwind).

I've got an old faded red '63 VW Bug sitting covered out back....it did start last year. Has the 1200cc engine reputed to produce a whopping 40 hp.

5? hp, and its GREAT! Ok... not fast, but quite big enough and it consumes very little fuel. GREAT!

Nah, I got you all beat:
I have a 1995 Honda Civix CX with a whopping 70hp, but only when running on all four cylinders. Since the engine is almost dead, running on 2 (I think) cylinders, that reduces my HP by a factor of 2, so I net: 35hp.

OK, so I'm looking at buying a new engine (or selling the car) so it won't stay this way forever.

Actually it would be less than 35HP because the non-running 2 cylinders would still be causing drag on the engine (i.e. drag of 4 cylinders, power of 2 = less than power of drag of 4 & power of 4 or drag of 2 and power of 2).

Well, I managed to loose my license with it for a month - due to speeding, and now behold, on the fvcking Autobahn

looks like someone went out and bought a car for $40 to win the thread... :p

got it for free,
had 115000miles on the clock and I put another 10k on without any problems - well it has a little electronics problem and the idle cant decide where it wants to be between 700 and 3500rpm

I have a 2.5Hp lawn mower, but it is old and phvcked, so no doubt it only produces 1-2hp.

Anyone got a Dyno I can get my mower on to test how much it has at the roller?

My parent's 1986 Dodge Caravan had 86 horsepower with it's 2.2 liter four cylinder engine. We took that car up Mt. Washington with 6 people in it, and a car top carrier on top!

I drove a 1986 Plymouth Reliant with the same engine, but it had low compression in one cylinder for the entire year and a half that I drove it. I'm guessing maybe 70 horsepower or so with that bad cylinder.
