Who got a 7900XTX or 7900XT?

I was thinking about buying one Day 1 buy I missed out and they're sold out. Supplies were short I guess.

Should I wait for the RDNA3+ respin, assuming there is one? Some of the reviews from yesterday make it look like, maybe the rumours of bugged silicon with low clockspeeds are true?

I need a new AMD dGPU for my next system and I'm not really keen on getting a 6950XT, though if I have to I just might. Especially if prices drop on them.

edit: changed title to include 7900XT owners.

I was looking into them, and considering it, but of course they pretty much sold out on launch. Which card would you get? I would likely get a Sapphire Nitro or Powercolor Red Devil, but I am not sure which is better.

I was looking at a reference card so I could use it with existing water blocks:

Though I would prefer a pure copper (rather than nickel) waterblock. I may have to wait for one of those to become available. EK only has nickel at the moment.

Anyone able to get one yet? Still seem OOS, and newegg looks to be raising prices on the XTX cards. There are some 7900XT cards in stock though.

Amazon has one for $1300. Still not taking the bait though. I'm on the fence as to whether I should wait for a "fixed" refresh card later this year? What's a few more months to build the new system, eh?

Ah yeah, I found it. Looks like an XFX reference from some marketplace seller.

Got my order in at Newegg on day 1 for the ASRock RX 7900 XTX and had to wait a few extra days because of the snowstorm we got here in the upper midwest. So worth the wait!

Or get the Sapphire Nitro+ if you can snag it. Better value than reference cards.

Alternatively, you could settle for that ASUS AIO 6800 XT I posted about in the Hot deals section. Quiet and cool.

Tell us all about it. Please.
I wasn't sure about updating from my Ryzen 7 3700X system with an XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS XXX Edition in an Asus ROG Strix X570F gaming motherboard, but moving up to the ASRock X670E Taichi Carrara, Ryzen 9 7950X, Corsair iCUE H150I Elite Capellix 360mm, Team T-Force Delta RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6400 CAS 40, four SK hynix Platinum P41 2TB PCIe NVMe M.2 2280 SSD with and ASRock RX 7900 XTX in a Corsair 7000D Airflow full tower with an RM 850-Watt power supply with eight 120mm fans and three 140mm fans has blown my mind.

I have not had any time to tune or tweek the CPU yet to drop the temps down. The Dnet client keeps all the CPU cores 59+% loaded and runs right up to the 93-95C limit while doing: 976,820,000 keys/s. The Open CL version on Dnet keeps the video card at 96+% loaded and it's kicking out: 27,105,601,713 keys/s. The Adrenalin Edition software says that everything I've thrown at the card so far has not synched lower than 93 frames/sec. Never thought of playing Portal at 3440x1440 before, but DAMN! Just wish I could find the right settings for Portal with RTX to see how good it will look with Ray Tracing on. Right now some of the graphics get blocky and weird at times. Still a work in progress!!!

They seem to have 10 cards in their Sunnyvale store.

$1199.99
Yeah, Central Computers is a good local store around here. It looks like they are down to 2 in Santa Clara and 2 in Sunnyvale. Tempting, I may have to head over there tomorrow.

Wow. These cards sell fast!

I thought they had 10 in stock coz no one wanted to pay $200 extra. And now 8 of them are gone :S

Ah. Forgot that you are into custom water cooling. Sorry.

np. Now that I've got a loop I want to use it. A lot of these AIB cards aren't suitable for that purpose, which is unfortunate.

Sounds like it's working out pretty well for you. I'm hoping for a similar "wow" effect next year when I upgrade . . . if I upgrade (heh). Whenever Raphael-X shows up. In any case you can probably pull some nice undervolts with that dGPU and maybe get more performance? Typical AMD dGPU. Others have been doing so.

Utilization: 99%
Clock speed: 2459 MHz
Total board power: 346W
Current temperature: 72C
Junction Temperature: 97C
Fan Speed: 1988 RPM

I did mount it vertically using a AsiaHorse PCIE 4.0 extension cable to keep it away from the motherboard.

93C? You might want to check out the Zen4 builder's thread in the CPU forum. That's a nice looking AiO and I'll bet you could get your temps lower without too much trouble.
