I'm not in the habit of listening to willful liars, but I'll humor you for a bit ...
perhaps you need to go back a few years and re-read my railings of the GOP about unPatriot Act, hmm?
Very true, you did, and you deserve credit for that.
YOU are the g'damn problem with politics. If Dr. Wilder Penfield (were he still alive) came to you and said hey...bowfinger...thats not a brain in your head, its a fucking tumor...you would continue to think it was a brain.
That was stupid.
I can be as partisan as the next guy (including you, asshole), but I also admit when Im wrong, and criticize both sides. If youre too fucking blind to realize your piece of shit donkey party is the piece of shit it is, thats YOUR problem.
But I'm not a Democrat, sweetie, and I often criticize the Democratic Party ... including in my first comment in this very thread. I am independent, and over the years I've voted pretty comparably for D's and R's, with at least as many votes going to third-party candidates. The only time I've even come close to voting party line was in 2004, when I found the BushCo Republican rule so repugnant and so destructive to America that I felt they needed to go across the board.
As far as admitting when one is wrong, I've done so here many times. At the other end of the spectrum, Sir Cad never, ever,
ever admits he is wrong about anything. While he often denied it, he was also unable to produce a link showing even one example of him acknowledging error. (Well. other than one lame attempt where he claimed a comment like, "I was wrong to believe you could be reasonable" was an admission of error. Hardly.) You say you've admitted to being wrong. Care to show us where and when? It would certainly improve my opinion of you. Being able to admit error is a mark of character and maturity in my book. For example, you could go back to the thread with "your" list of Health bill problems, directly admit you lifted it from another source, and apologize.
Perhaps meds might help you, because the truth certainly doesnt.
On the contrary, truth has been quite helpful to me. I've tried to make it a cornerstone of my life. You might find truth to be a boon to you as well. Try it.
If you honestly think the GOp is responsible for the Dems in Congress not having the votes, well...youre more fucked up than originally thought. What they cant think for themselves? WTF? The Dems are at the helm, dumbass, and if they cant pass something, its THEIR fault. Unfortunately the Dems cant tell their ass from a hole in the ground, so its no wonder theres no support.
And he huffs and he puffs and he spits out a bullshit straw man to avoid acknowledging the slimy behavior of his heroes at the RNC. The issue is not what the Dems CAN pass. It's what they have the political will to pass in the face of inflamed public opposition. What is fueling this opposition? There are many causes, of course, and many of them have some basis in truth, but the single biggest factor by far is the dishonest fear mongering and general disinformation campaign of the RNC and its shills. The Democrats in Congress, generally being a bunch of cowardly, power-hungry weasels too, aren't comfortable standing up to such public outcry. It would mean sticking their necks out, and it's so easier to capitulate and let the RNC corporate whores screw America again.
That's not to suggest the Health proposals floating around Congress are perfect. Far from it. Unfortunately for America, however, the GOP's swift boat tactics have drowned out any attempts at reasoned and constructive debate. Instead we get despicable lies about "pulling the plug on Grandma" which a whole bunch of slow-witted Americans swallow, having learned not a damned thing from the lies of the previous eight years.
