he is not. being against a bigoted ideology does not make you a bigot. muslims are not a race. it is an ideology and in many aspects far worse than other religions. its not to say other religions arent bad, islam is simply far more defective. there is critical biblical scholarship whether you like it or not, and there has been for quite a while because all the bible accounts are second hand writings of disciples, many contradictory. jesus neither took political power or wielded military force. this is in stark contrast to the musilm scripture which is direct from god as it gets through mohammed, and thus far harder to quibble with when it comes to all the f*cked up sh*t contained within. mohammed behaved rather badly, taking state/military power and even marrying a child. not to mention it is self described as a whole system of living, not just a religion. it is far worse than most any other ideology around.

as for it being a small group, give me a break. there are many many more in that group that believe things only a half step removed from those that actually go through with attacks. this extremism doesn't sprout from no where.

As far as they're concerned there are/were escalations and preexisting tensions. Maybe whatever form of radical Islam they practice made them more suceptable, but that's just it. They're radicals. To lump all Muslims in with them is like lumping all Christians in with the Westboro Baptist Church. Including the Catholics and other non-protestants.

True, but there are a great deal who think 9/11 was just punishment for... god knows what, these people scapegoat us for everything... even if they themselves wouldn't have taken such drastic measures. The bible doesn't repeatedly prescribe death to nonbelievers and for almost every sin committed by believers. The Quran does. This is why the WBC is nuts while muslims are just following their book.
