I buy extra long belts so that it points down. I've always liked the casual cool from having the belt tail point down at least 4 inches, especially formal situations.

LOL
I've always worn my belt to the left. I've also heard before that girls are supposed to wear their belt to the right. Is this really true? I think I'll keep wearing it to the left anyways, right seems weird.
Also, if the left-for-guys, right-for-girls thing is really true, and Frosty's 'Dockers' label is upside down when he wears it to the left, maybe it's a woman's belt?? :Q![]()

I used to wear it to the left, but then the belt would get stretched only on one side, so now I wear it to the right to balance it out.
Yup, I'm left-handed and I thread my belt clockwise.Originally posted by: cucumber
I always put mine left too, but I think it might be because I'm right handed and lead with my right hand. I would think that the
left handed would put on a belt the other way leading with their left hand. Just a guess though....

Wow, always thought a lot of people here were right-wing, but it seems we have mostly lefties here!![]()

I'm left-handed and the tail goes to the right. Putting it any other way is just giving in to the majority right handers. As for why buttons are the way they are, I have never heard of an explaination for that. Could it be that they are that way so when you unbutton someone of the opposite sex, it would be normal.

Left.
The button thing dates back to olden-days, when a man could unbutton his coat with his left hand and use the right to draw a sword.
