Which way does the 'tail' of your belt go?

I have always worn, and thought, that as a guy my belt tail should go off to the left... just taking my belt off today I noticed that the 'Dockers' label is printed so that, when upright, the belt tail would go to the right.

Have I been wrong all this time, or is the label just upside-down/non-representative?

Tip of the belt points to the left (ie.-belt is put on through the loops counter-clockwise when viewed from the top). This is also the Army standard, so that's good enough for me!

The belt is threaded counter-clockwise around you. I have never seen, nor heard of, anyone doing it the other way.

I think a poll will overwhelmingly show that we are right on this issue. I'd be very, very surprised to see it go any other way in any large numbers.

I always put mine left too, but I think it might be because I'm right handed and lead with my right hand. I would think that the
left handed would put on a belt the other way leading with their left hand. Just a guess though....

It was my thread though, so I dunno ... I think we still need a second left-handed confirm.

BTW: I remember when I was a little kid (like 2nd grade(?)) I wore it once to school to the right, and was told by a classmate that it was the incorrect way, and it should go to the left, and frorm then on have worn it to the left... so my first intuition as a left-handed person was to wear it to the right.

Naa, as I said in original post, I just noticed the label on my belt to be contrary to what I thought was the correct method of wearing a belt... sooo just checkin' out what other bored people thought.

I used to wear it to the left, but then the belt would get stretched only on one side, so now I wear it to the right to balance it out.
