Update 5/15

I tried to get to the bank last Thursday but I was held over at work for overtime and didn't get out until late. By the time I got to the bank, the bank manager had left. I asked one of the tellers if they knew how to fill out the form and they did not. They told me that I should probably wait for Patrick (manager).

I relayed this information to the LL and he was not happy. He reiterated that anyone can notarize the form and that I can go to any citibank. I told him I was only comfortable working with the branch manager at my bank.

So today I get this email from him

TJ, until you are able to get the form notarized and in the hands of Citibank for processing, we will not be having any more discussions on the matter of terminating the lease early. I will continue to abide by the lease agreement we signed as it is written. It has been over two months now; the form can be notarized by anybody, a Citibank employee or otherwise. Patrick has instructed us that it can be left with anyone at any branch location, information that I have passed along to you. There are Citibank branches all over new york, any of which you can drop the form at.

I have been told by multiple branch managers at Citibank that the funds are very easily recoverable from 3 months of the date of incident, then it becomes more difficult. Early June is fast approaching giving us a very small window to get this done. As of right now March rent is still unpaid.

If you cannot get the form to a Citibank for Processing by Saturday of this week, I have no choice but to have my lawyer get involved to retrieve the amount that is due. I would hate to have it come to that, but am prepared to due so. You will hear from them on Tuesday of next week if we do not hear from you by Sunday that the matter has been handled.

We will be there this Saturday at noon to address the issues that need repair.
