Mine comes from my nickname in Jr. High band. My last name has a brand name of ketchup in it.

Back when aol came out for the first time some nerd setup an account for me here but he always called me dog. I let him nake up the user name and he came up with bdog231. I had the mods chop it down to bd231 years later, which happen to be my initials.

I always used "jupiter" (my favorite planet) for all usernames.
When I created my account here, "jupiter" was taken, so I tried jupiter55 (55 being my birth year), it, too, was taken, tried 56, taken, tried 57, Voila.
Pretty much stuck with that ever since.
(Really didn't think I would be here so long!)

Thank God for ATM. Would be so weird going to the same bank teller everyday depositing hundreds in cash.

I was in prison with Dave, and after he had . . . an accident . . . I took over his identity.

Believe it or not. My nick has nothing to do with me liking AMD, I was an Intel fanboy since the Celeron 300A vs. crappy ass AMD K6 days. lol

I figured I was the "AMD" hunter because I'd hunt and kill AMD computers.

Funny how the 700MHz Duron (which I had at 1GHz+) changed my mind.

Dammit AMD, what happened to you guys. :(

In the 90's, I was a champion Tribes player. The characters in Tribes could be assigned voices for vocal commands in the game. I thought it would be hilarious to have a small female character with a hard-boiled sergeant man voice, and I was going to name her Fritz.

Fritz was taken, so I used Fritzo. The name kind of stuck.

Used to play counter strike in high school and when 1.6 came out I decided I needed a new handle that was unique. Came up with "deadly apparition", but since 50% of the people on CS had no idea what an apparition was they just shortened it to deadly app or DA. Deadlyapp stuck since then.

And you can than Anand for helping to steer us in the right direction. Celeron 300A review. This site stood up when countless others have passed on.
