Is it just me or does everyone and their mother on this board have a gf? Lucky bastards. I broke up with mine over a year ago and in the last few weeks and months I've started missing that whole companionship thing again. And the wild monkey sex too.

I just hung out with some friends and they introduced me to this chick and she was cute and nice and all but there were no sparks between us.

So I'm just curious... how/where did you guys meet your significant others (past or present) and, also, how did you court/pursue/woo them?

I first saw her (many times, actually) at the gym. I then saw her at a concert. I didn't actually meet her until probably two weeks after that concert and, even then, it was only very briefly and by chance. We happened to be getting mail at the same time. I said "Hi." It worked out well.

Went clubbing.
Saw this babe.
Eyes met, smiles.
A few dances.
Went to her place.
"Aaahooo ough ough eiiia" for 4 weeks.
Broke up.

School also. In class, she would sit next to me every day. I was like - whoa why the hell? So one day I finally got up the courage to ask her for her notes for a day I missed in class. Honestly I needed the notes, but it was a good ice breaker anyway. Met in the library one night and we found out we had other similar classes. A year of good friendship, 4 more years of dating and I proposed to her 3 months ago.

:) I've got one of the best stories around.

I was on a class field trip. it sucked. I was terribly bored. I posted a thread on AT about it, way back in November, although I doubt anyone remembers. Anyways, I get this message on my cell phone, from an unknown number. It simply says "hey". I'm bored, so I say "hey whos this" back. A little later they tell me they messaged the wrong person earlier. I'm bored, and desparate for something to take my mind off of the civil war, so I strike up a conversation, like about who the person is and all. Turns out, its a girl, my age(well, 11 months younger), who goes to a neighboring high school. Intriguing. I tell her I work at Circuit City, and lo and behold, 2 days later she shows up there. We chat, we decide to hang out a little....few weeks later, I've got my first girlfriend :) Been together a little over 8 months now. I'm the happiest I've ever been. And it all come from her accidentally typing xxx-xxx-4421 instead of xxx-xxx-4424 on her phone. Wow. :D

Thats what she told you! She's really been stalking you for the last 2 years and already know more about you then you do. Like the number of fingers you use to scratch your ass. You better watch it, she probably has a vial of your blood around her neck.

My former girlfriend was dating this girl's brother. Things went from there. The relationship lasted a pretty good while. I fvcked it up though. Oh well... seventeen isn't a good time for relationships anyone. The other one I don't want to talk about because it is so complex you would need a PhD to even understand how we met, and then why we broke up would be the basis of a six year soap opera. So maybe I exaggerate, but goddamn it was complex.
