Went to the bar with friends, one picked up a chick and we all went back to her house. She had a sister. :)

my story is kinda similar to deeko's

about 7 months ago i had to do an acting project with a student outside of class. I was hoping to get a girl as a partner, but instead i got a big black bouncer (heh, we're friends now) guy. We kinda put the project off and then finally one day i decided to go to his house, he called and left a message giving me the adress of his apartments, but forgot to give me the apt number. i called the number back that he called from. A girl picked up, the guy's neighbor. She gave me directions as my phone was dying, before it went i quickly asked for his apt number. She gave me one.

...which i later found out was hers :D

she was having a blonde moment i think, as i kind of hurried her, but it was a mistake i didnt mind ;)

anyways, she showed me up to his house and came back later, she asked him to invite me over the next day.

and the rest...

Since I'm moving into a dorm in three weeks, all of the "we met in our dorm" stories sound promising. :)

In grade 12 I met a girl... we quickly made a habit of spending every day in the library studying together. Although I did like her, I'm not exactly the most confident person and I'd just assumed she liked me to help her with math. But she asked me to prom at the end of the year. I didn't go - I don't remember why, exactly. It was complicated at the time. :( She was a year older than me. Went off to university. Never spoken with her since.

YEAH and right now there's this girl who is perfect for me who I will be living 300 km away from her so that's not great. EDIT: She asked me to prom too, and I didn't go this year either. My god, I've never put these two events together in my mind. That makes me a real idiot doesn't it? I did have good reasons, though.

My stories aren't very inspiring, are they? I apologize. :)

School...and I married her...she's got it all: dedication/commitment, personality/intelligence, and looks that still light my fire after 7+ years of knowing her.

Met her at Uni.

First met her through friend and she was his girlfriend at the time. I was just friendly to her (I'm friendly to all girls ;p) and kept it like that showing no interest as she was dating this guy. They split up and asked her to hook up after a Uni open day that I was going to. Went to dinner that day also.

Had a great day. Didn't ring for 2 weeks as my confident with women wasn't as high then, also thought she was out of my league (NEVER think this, its just stupid to) she rings me to go out with a few mates to bars/clubs. I can't go but sort something else out between us.

See more of her tell her in December I like her. See more of her and been going out a month now.

Met my wife on a $5 dollar bet.

My friend bet me that her sister who was sitting across the bar wouldn't dance with me, Wel mine GF at the time hadn't shown up so I asked she said yes I got five bucks.

I was married 7 month later:Q

THat was the most expensive 5 bucks ever.

6 Years later I still love her to death.

Hey, if a really good friend of mine and my sister were interested in each other I wouldn't object. I mean hell, if he's a friend of mine I know he's a good guy and that he'll treat her well. Especially knowing I'll kill him if he doesn't.

We met at a caving event in Kentucky. I was working for a friend of mine with his store and she had been talking to him over the internet for a couple months and she stopped in to talk. She spent the entire weekend at the store with us and even baked us camp brownies. She moved in a year later and we are still together 2 1/2 year later.

Mine's another online romance, but with a twist...

Freshman year at college, I was chatting on ICQ with my old HS gf (we ended it on friendly terms - we mutually decided it wasn't going to work out). Well, she had to do laundry or something, so her friend from down the hall was in the room with her & sat down and started chatting with me. We chatted for awhile, and found we really had a lot in common. She put ICQ on her comp, and we spent a lot of time the rest of the year chatting. After spring finals, she & another friend went up to visit my old HS gf in our home-town, so we met up & finally met face-to-face. That summer she worked at Disneyworld, so we wrote letters & I sent her care packages, then she came to visit me at college over Labor Day weekend fall of sophmore year. We've been "offically dating" ever since (2 years this fall).

It's a long-distance relationship - we're 300 miles apart when we're at school (even farther when we are both home), but we email/IM/write letters, and we've been talking on the phone more now, too (I got a cell phone this spring with plenty of night/weekend minutes). On average, we see each other about one weekend a month. But the relationship is going very well and we'll probably marry once we both graduate (she's got a year and a half left; I'm done in the spring).

I was working a local fair display for my company and she was visting all the vendors, as the Fair's Beauty Queen. :D Needless to say we hit it off and later that day, after I was finished working, we spent the evening together at the fair. Before leaving the fair she asked me out on our first date, Cedar Point, it was the best first date ever. And after 12 years of knowing her, 10 married, she is still a beauty queen to me.

Met her on ICQ four years ago. I thought she was her sister whom I knew, and she told me who she was. Then she told me her sister actually wanted to set the two of us up, which was cool.
