Implying that if one is NOT committed to God, there's something wrong with him? No offense to you, or your beliefs, but I call bullsh!t on that. I believe in no organized religion, and I would still consider myself a man of principle and morals, as well as one who is commited to my family. One does not preclude the other. I've known plenty of "religious" people who have been the biggest jerks in the world.

Heh, I forgot a rule about John Wayne: he would never answer in the affirmative if asked if he were a man's man/real man. I can't imagine him liking the question.

Other note: you could take the stance (not that I am) that sensitivity implies that a woman needs sensitivity, i.e. that she doesn't have enough emotional gumption/fortitude/whatever to handle problems on her own. Understanding: good. Sensitivity: bad by this explanation.

Novgrod, you should read a comic series called The Preacher by Garth Ennis. I got out of comics a LONG time ago, but this is a good one. John Wayne plays very much the role you've ascribed to him in it.

Hehe...I was just goofing around, I have no problem with cats. I just couldn't resist a couple good-natured potshots.🙂

You'll note he also has webspace devoted to cars and motorcycles....this may balance out the cats and acid-wash. I'll have to consult the MANual and do the calculations to be sure.😉

I don't know if I rate as a "real man" by your standards. I've done a lot of evil things in my life. The only thing I am proud of is that I have never broken a promise. It's very hard to get me to promise anything, but once I do, it is as good as done.
