You know, the guys who can do everything. The one's who say what they mean and do what they say. The one's who are in great shape because they actually do stuff. The one's who are honest, who when he gives his word he'd bankrupt himself before he broke it. The real man who wants more than anything to be a great husband and father.

I love men. But all I've met are jerks who just want to wine, dine, and recline. Or, really nice guys who are just boys inside. They are nice because they are scared to not be.

There are few men, because society demands too few men and penalizes or mocks the ones who are.

I would say that I am, but I'm just aiming to be one, someday. I know that I have a lot of maturing to do, but I'm up for it.

I guess that's something that being an Eagle Scout and a smart guy instills in you.

You're great. I just got a call from an old boyfriend who is going to be in town a couple of days. He'd love to stay over and relive old times. I guess I'm ranting a bit. (BTW, you're right about the drinking, but that's a whole other issue).

In retrospect... that is what becoming an Eagle Scout is all about. The other Eagles on this board can back me up on this...

I would die before I broke a promise to a friend or a family member.

I pray every night for my wife and my children, even though I haven't met my wife yet.

And I know I'm not the only guy here who does.

Before you start lamenting the lack of real men, look around you.

Actually, this is a two edged sword. I don't know any women who are straight out honest with their men. They are all sneaky on some level and it makes me worry sometimes. Me and my boys feel like we're being hunted sometimes by you women.
