it becomes very clear why there is such a fascination with Zombies and the walking dead taking over the country and the world. Does anybody remember the horror in childhood when you realized your parents were automaton whose aim was to suck you into their living death?

We are surrounded by folk that are actually brain dead. They can analyze nothing and can only regurgitate, and dance like organ grinder monkeys. All stimulus response is done by a program.

For example, we have all, I am sure, seen the data that shows that for many years the rich have gotten richer at an accelerating rate leaving behind the 99% in terms of growth of income and that as a result the life of the many has become more difficult while the lives of the few have gotten better and better.

It is also widely believed that Republicans favor the rich over the poor yet millions and millions of folk who will never be in the 1% vote for those who increase income disparity.

You have to operate under programming to vote against your own interests but there are millions and millions of marching morons who will and we see them post here in P & N regularly. It has to be sad to be brain dead, to be a cheap robotic slave of propaganda.

I know how angry you are to be this way and how ashamed you are. I know how deeply humiliated you were. I know how harsh your discipline. I know how joyous you were to acquire Stockholm syndrome and surrender your identity to the Borg and I know the depth of that pain.

But I know too that for every prison created there is also created a key.

You may be only a program but every program that can be installed can be deleted.

When ever I get pissed I just try to remember that we all have different levels of comprehension of conflicting information and patterns and experiences in life, along with our own view of liberty. Yes, they are fucking stupid, but we all have to figure out a way to wake them up, one that appeals to their own best interests. (these folks are not very bright obviously to find their own best interests even if its staring them in the face)

I guess the key is patience, problem is we are long out of time. That is the maddening part when they repeat the same bullshit not learning over the years. And then have the audacity to act put upon for being called out.

Getting out sometime into the sunshine and real life would do a lot of the talk radio folks some good. They are literally fear/anger repositories now after being literally trained by right-wing media to be addicted to the endorphin rush of faux outrage.

Conservatives worship of the 1950s is a really creepy thing though, it was a terrible decade unless you were a privileged white male from the "right" side of the tracks. Yet it is probably the one decade where White males had good civil service and government jobs that paid well, something they have since thanks to corporate propaganda given away and disavowed as socialism.

Imagine that! The very working class who built up American in the face of Communism now are seen as communist union thugs. I really am curious what happened to working class' sense of self interest. Or at least a part of them that buys into the right wing propaganda.
