Trump's approval rating on 11/2/2020 according to 538: 53% disapprove, 45% approve.

Trump's approval rating on 3/1/2020, which to me would be the last time before the pandemic became serious business: 53% disapprove, 43% approve.

Maybe it's that people who already hated him changed to REALLY hating him? Nope, nothing there either. (Yes, it's Rasmussen and so it's biased, but internal results can be compared to each other)

Strong disapprove as of 3/2/2020: 42%
Strong disapprove as of 11/2/2020: 41%

Considering his approval rating actually went slightly up during that time and his 'strongly disapprove' went slightly down what's your basis for thinking the pandemic cost him the election? The simplest answer is the most likely one - Trump lost because America disliked him and elections are popularity contests. The unpopular guy lost the popularity contest. As he remains unpopular, he's most likely to lose if he tries again.

It baffles me because despite losing badly in 2016 he lucked into the presidency that people think this guy is some sort of political mastermind. He's bad at campaigning! He the popular vote in every contest he ever ran in by millions each time! If a Democrat had the exact same popular vote performance everyone would be talking about how they were the worst campaigner of all time.
Because without the pandemic, his approval might have gone up???

So in defiance of the entire rest of his term the guy with the legendarily stable (dis)approval rating was suddenly going to have a polling surge? Isn't the more likely answer that COVID simply didn't change anyone's mind and he lost because people dislike him?

I don't know tons of Trump supporters but of the ten or so in my extended family I can count the number that changed their mind about him on zero fingers.

Dont forget that 75 million people voted for him. Yes, more people voted for Biden, but in large part I believe that was because of Trump's totally inept handling of the pandemic. In 2024, the tables will be turned, and Trump will have four years of ammunition to attack Biden as a failure and being inept.
Yup. As much as Americans hated him, the bigger concern is the support such a moron still has.

Trump continues his work for Putin. Putin has found the perfect puppet.

Dividing and destroying the country seems to be his mandate, and he's is doing everything he can to achieve this goal.

By the way…. Where was Donald trump during Sunday’s 911 ceremonies? I seen Biden and Harris and the Clinton’s and Bush and the Obama’s but… where was Donald? Where was the greatest president of all time?
Was Donald busy planning more terrorist attacks against our government rather than celebrating America‘s victories over past terrorist attacks? Was Trump golfing? Was Donald stuck in some McDonald’s drive-thru? Was he with Stormy? Rudy? With some other prostitute willing to do anything for a little cash?
Donald…. WHERE WERE YOU???

Trump attacks Bush for speaking out about violent extremists

Hilarious ... So Trump knew exactly who Bush was talking about when he equated domestic extremists to Al Qaeda. Bush did a head fake that way, and Trump leaned right into it. The shoe fit very nicely and Trump felt compelled to have something to say about it.

Although.... Trump was too busy Ringside Grifting his Dim Witted fans. You can’t bother Don the Con with pesky memorial services regarding the biggest attack on American Soil when there’s a Grift to be had.

Trump will eventually tell you the truth. His ego compels him to seek attention, in any form.

Trump is fighting to build an outside urinal on his golf course.

"The Post also noted that Trump has been forthcoming about wanting a family mausoleum, describing early plans as, “19 feet high. Stone. Obelisks. Set smack in the middle of the golf course. In Bedminster — a wealthy horse-country town 43 miles west of New York City — officials had some concerns about hosting a reality TV star’s tomb. The huge structure would seem garish, out of place. And there were ongoing worries that the spot might become an ‘attractive nuisance,’ tempting curiosity-seekers to trespass on club grounds.”

“Curiosity-seekers” with very full bladders. MAGA's who aren’t dead of either COVID or ivermectin poisoning will be wanting to take selfies in front of it. I'm sure the town of Bedminster knows damn well what kind of “nuisance” behavior the presence of a Donald Trump burial site is likely to “attract”.

Although ... I don’t think the city grasps the potential economic benefit of a nearby concession selling asparagus and Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Prostates have needs.
