I never thought he would run for another term.
First I don't think he can win even if he did run.
Second I think he found out the hard way the job is tough.
Third After getting dragged through the coals, why would you want to do it over again.

I mostly agree with this however I must say the man is deeply damaged and predicting what a damaged man does it near impossible

I actually think he will win because Dems are getting fucked over by Manchin and Sinema..

No college debt forgiveness,
No universal healthcare,
No infrastructure,
No abortion guarantee

Why the fuck would anyone give the dems money or worse show up to vote?
I'm confused, is the argument 'the democrats didn't do what I want so I'll put people who are actively hostile to those things in office instead'?

No, I think he is implying they will either not vote or vote third party, write-in, etc as a show of spite and frustration.

As for Trump, of course he's going to run. He lives for the "only I can fix it" spotlight.

I think the point is I pretty simple.
Why bother. They don’t accomplish anything useful to me when they are both in and out of power.

And I think that point makes literally zero sense.

One of two parties can take power - the ‘I won’t do anything’ party or the ‘punch Fanatical Meat in the face party’. The idea that you have no preference because the former party doesn’t do anything is dumb.

I know that, you know that, but I bet he doesn't and will claim it. he's already tried after leaving office.
Executive privilege can only be exerted by the current president. It doesn’t exist for former presidents.

Right, which is stupid, which was my point.

I’m not at all confident of that, at least in terms of ‘running’ meaning ‘actually attempts to become president again’.

He had every advantage possible and tried to use the powers of the president to rig the election and he still lost. Imagine the humiliation if he ran again and lost even more.

I'm more worried about who the Democrats will put forth. Biden would not win again, I honestly think Trump would defeat him in a rematch. I'd still worry that he will declare and win yet again, America is that stupid. Let's hope he succumbs to his poor lifestyle choices before then.

Meh, I doubt that. I think a rematch would be an even bigger loss for Trump this time than last time. America really, really hates him! It's almost certainly the reason why Republicans want him to wait to do anything until after the midterms - if he declares his candidacy before then he reactivates the public that turned out in droves to kick him out of office.

The only way Trump runs again and wins IMO is if the electoral college skew gets even bigger in favor of Republicans or if they steal the election. Otherwise he has no chance - it will be total obliteration.

Remember how people said that like 1,000 times in 2020 and then Trump lost?

Remember how people said that like 1,000 times in 2018 and then Republicans got blown out?

You are far more positive about the typical voter than I am

I just want to know who the candidates are for the punch fanatical meat in the face party. They need some campaign donations! Lol

Sorry don’t get what you are going for here.

We will see what happens during the mid terms as of now I expect Republican gains.
