Where the fuck you work, Taco Bell?
Any particular reason why? It's actually one of the fastest and most stable browsers now.
dude, if there's one thing I learned on this forum it's that anything Microsoft does is all FAIL. Facts and reason have nothing to do with anything MS related.. crap I meant to say M$...

All that money and you can't get yourself a new computer?
Umm, he said he was using IE7, which was released Oct 2006.
But yeah, why anyone would still be using an IE below 9 is mind boggling.

I am the test bed for Win 7. It will be pushed out to the rest in about 3 months.the company i work for JUST did a full win 7 roll out in the past month

Well, WinXP only supports up to IE8. You can run Chrome Frame in older browsers to view more modern webpages though:
https://developers.google.com/chrome/chrome-frame/
Does anyone else find it extremely sad that you need to get a third-party plugin just so IE can utilize modern web standards? (Yes, I know that IE9 is leaps and bounds better and more compatible than IE6/7, I'm just sayin'.)
I finally broke down and asked IT to install Firefox on my machine. Using the Internet is a billion and one times more responsive (and probably more secure) with NoScript and ABP.
IE8 has a ton of awkward pop-up notifications here with annoying button choices. "Do you want to only load the items from a secure location?" I get this one all the time on GMail, and we're so used to clicking yes, but you want to click no. I also get prompts when I go to websites like MSDN. Yes I want to go from one trusted website to another! Sheesh, IE... leave me alone! :|
I'm pretty sure I'd blow my brains out if I was forced to use IE8 all day. Why does your company hate all of its employees?
BWAHAHAHA! No, they got up on 6 but are upgrading us to 7.
I use Chrome every where else.
I prefer IE9 > Chrome > Firefox .. still stuck in XP at work though so I use Chrome for almost everything.
Though FireFox tends to have better compatibility than Chrome. Chrome tends to load faster for me.
Can't stand IE9 for the simple fact it forces cleartype on you. Text looks absolutely horrible with cleartype. This "feature" should be off by default and enabled for those visually impaired that feel it's better. JMHO...
With LCDs you run native resolution to get the crispest text possible. Cleartype is a step backward and the end result is blurring and eyestrain. Even worse is when you see "color bleeding" on certain backgrounds, etc. Utterly disgusting. D:
I should be able to right click the back button and pick how far back I want to go.![]()
When ClearType came out with WinXP, Microsoft said it was designed to enhance readability on LCDs. The text really did look a lot better to me...kind of like anti-aliasing.
Using IE9 - I click/hold the left mouse on the back button and it shows 8 pages that I can go or provide the option to view the full history of the tab.
/rant not understood - OP error?![]()
