portal 1 was much more challenging than portal 2. Though gameplay is still good, it only gets a little challenging when the paints are introduced into the game..
For me, Portal 2 got boring. After maybe 6 or 8 hours I finally stopped playing.
Unlike the original, I have no interest in finishing portal 2.
I dont know what it is, but the game just got boring.
The ending is VERY satisfying. You don't know what you're missing.
I've played some amazing custom maps. Truly, if you guys are disappointed with the difficulty of the stock maps, you should try them out.
The SP campaign was on rails with no (that I saw) opportunities for multiple solutions. I get it Valve, you want to sell to a console audience, OK OK. Still, I'm very much looking forward to some official DLC (that does not come in the form of gratuitous $4 MP hats) that makes the game a bit harder.
Storyline was disappointing in that it got all WACKY + ZANY.
There was at least one puzzle that I tried solving it apparently the wrong way and I broke the game. Pretty disappointing in that aspect.
Not sure why you blame the consoles again as the first one came out on consoles too. Seems to be the default BS excuse for PC gamers.
Portal 2 got a bit boring and exhausting in the middle where you are in the old building and basically looking for the furthest away portal-able wall after aiming at the tiniest speck on your monitor.
See, I disliked the Cave Johnson ridiculousness. HL2 is set in a bleak, serious world... and yet Aperture science is a silly wacky company that makes bouncy gel and Moron AIs. Really? Boo.
Not all games can, or should, be the same even if they're put out by the same company. I'm glad that Portal, TF, Half Life, and L4D all have such different styles and feels. Cave Johnson was also by far the best part of Portal 2.
fact
There isn't much of a challenge. Its much easier than the first one. Still a fantastic game though. So far its my GOTYI'm in chapter 4 now and I've only had to think about how to complete 2 levels so far. I remember playing portal 1 and had fun trying to figure out how to complete the level. so far this is just too easy.
