Don't know what my IQ is on a "real" test. Took every internet IQ test I could find and got 140-160 on those.
I'm one of the laziest people I know. I was in gifted programs when I was younger. I got OK grades in school, I could have done better if I'd studied more, and actually did some of the assignments, but I always did really well in math/physics/chemistry when it was a subject I was interested in. At those times I got higher scores than valedictorian and salutorian of my class, val. went to harvard, and the twin salutorians went to UCLA, one of them is doing a master's in math right now, dunno about the other). I've always gotten pretty horrible grades in English, even though I read a lot. Hated writing essays. I took 8 AP tests by the time I finished high school, entered college as a sophomore, 5's in Chem and Calc I, 4's in US Hist, English, Bio, and Physics, 3's in Euro/World Hist and U.S. Govt. Hardly studied for any of those, except for chem and calc, was only motivated in those because I was competing against some of the people in those classes.
I think I'm even on the right/left brain thing, I'm good at logical thinking, math, comp. sci stuff, and I'm also pretty good at drawing and painting, I read a lot of classic literature, and I write (fiction type stuff, no essays).
One funny thing is that in elementary school I would procrastinate doing book reports, and the night before it was due I'd write a book report about a book that didn't exist, type it up, create a bibliography and everything, and I got A's on those.
